Pink Moon
Nick DrakeI mean, it's a classic right. Absolutely stunningly beautiful and forever one of the greatest singer songwriter records.

Better than Pablo Honey but definitely still sounds really rooted in the 90s to me, as compared to the timelessness of later Radiohead albums.
Amazing jazz album. Miles had such a way of making technically complex jazz actually really fun to listen to.
Even though I'm a huge fan of Paul's Boutique, I went into the album with kinda middling expectations, but man, I actually really fucking enjoyed this. What other hip hop record has two punk songs and a beat with throat singing in it. Extremely fun album.
I really don't know why I always bounce off the Smiths as hard as I do, I guess I just don't get the appeal. Also I kinda hated the production on this project. 2 stars because Barbarism Begins at Home was a bit of a jam.
I actually enjoyed this pretty thoroughly. Not the kinda thing I see myself returning to frequently but really great while it's on. Also the flow of the tracks is pretty immaculate.
One of my favorite albums. An amazing anti-war record made under a military state regime, who's release would lead to that same regime killing Fela's mother and almost killing him. Extremely powerful music that despite all of this darkness is still some of the most interesting and raucous afrobeat music ever made.
Amazing fucking album but only 4.5 because I think I like 'Curtis' more as an album.
Not particularly amazing to my ears, but if you like early 00's rap bangers there's actually a couple gems on here (The One, Childz Play, Evening News)
Love Tim Buckley's Starsailor for all of it's strange 60s experimentation a great deal, but never actually plunged into anything else from him. Glad to find that this album is a similar level of quality to Starsailor with some of the more eccentric aspects of that album stripped away to reveal Tim Buckley's absolute master over songwriting. A true joy and probably an album I'm going to return to many times in the future. 4.5-5/5
Am I biased because Peter Hook is one of my favorite bass players ever, yes. Is this album still straight fucking gas from front to back, also yes.
Absolute classic that was insanely ahead of its time, love this album
What a fantastic album. Full of so many contradictions that would ruin any other album. Quaint yet unbelievably grand. Frail and DIY while also maximalist and so well produced. Definitely influenced some of the worst acts working today with it's theatrics (Imagine Dragons UGH) but isn't stained by the works of these subsequent acts. Genuinely stellar.
The Cure has never really clicked for me in any meaningful way up until today, but man I actually really enjoyed this. The production was so dark and the instrumentals were so strange and industrial, really really great.
I guess we're just getting my worst Radiohead take out of the way now. Don't particularly love the second half of this album, but there definitely are some tracks I adore on here.
Simply one of the greatest rap albums ever made. From production to lyrics, very few albums top this one
This was really cool! Got a little samey sound wise as it went on but the real joy was reading about what an absolutely inspiring individual Miriam Makeba was, highly recommend looking into her story.
