1001 Albums Summary

- I knew "Without a Sound" from this band before hearing this album and I like that album - Album came out the year I was born, had no idea they were making music this early - Cool solo on Sludgefeast - Poledo is very strange and not in the greatest way - Cover of The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" - a little sped up with different guitar and vocal effects, but largely the same. It cuts off right before the ending chorus which was weird. - Overall not a bad album but not a great one. No song jumped out to me as a big hit, but it was a nice little jam/experiment album. I like "Without a Sound" much better.

- Never really listened to Tom Waits before so I'm pretty excited - "Downtown" is pretty good - Not a bad album, but not exactly my preferred type of rock. I can certainly see that he is a talented artist and why people enjoy his music.

- I haven't been much of a fan of Steely Dan so I'm hoping this will change my mind. - "Do It Again" is a certified banger. - Alright, I didn't know that "Reelin' in the Years" was Steely Dan. Shame on me! - This is a pretty good album. I'm quite pleased!

I've known this album for a long time, it's definitely one of the greats. But I'll never turn down a good excuse to give it another listen.

I have never heard of Suede or heard anything by this band, but I wasn't impressed at all. Sorry England :(

- "Dreamer" is the only song I knew prior to this listen and I like it. - "School" is pretty good. - Overall it's a good album, no amazing songs jumped out at me other than "School" and "Dreamer."

Early 80s pop. It's decent in the beginning, but gets very repetitive towards the end of the album. Good saxophone work though. It's probably deserving of a 2.5 in my book, but I'll round up.

I did not finish the album. The first half was so bad imo that I couldn't go any further. I am disappoint.

Good album. Not too keen on the Beatles cover. Fame is a classic of course.

Good album if you like Bob Dylan. It's Bob doing what Bob does best.

This is nearly a greatest hits album for Billy Joel. Very good album, even the lesser known songs are decent at worst.

This is an album I've listened to several dozen times. Automatic 5 stars from me.
