One of the best debut albums ever. Stupid good. Silky smooth vocals and incredible instrumentals. Must listen for Rnb fans for sure

1. Awesome opening track - really loved the story 2. Not mama running off with the traveling man! 3. The harmonies go crazy on this track, and love the strings on the second verse. 4. Man this is a sad song about domestic abuse. 5. Kinda dipping for me here. Dolly’s voice is incredible but the instrumental is a bit boring to me 6. Alright this is why I don’t listen to a lot of country. The instrumentals all start to sound the same. There is a nice piano additional on the second verse tho. and again Dolly’s voice is incredible 7. The bass intro is a nice change of pace. I’m fucking with this song heavy already 8. Man we riding. This song is beautiful as fuck. 9. Mad twangy. Dolly is swinging. This album kinda dipped for me in the middle but it came back 10. Damn and finishing with an anthem. Solid 8/10

This is when I kinda got off the Muse train. It’s a bit too pop and predictable to me. There are some standout tracks but as album there are better Muse records imo 6/10 1. Good open- loved the keys 2. Transition into this track wasn’t as epic but the track is decent. Standard Muse but nothing wild imo 3. One of their sexist rifts ever. This sound screams sex appeal and I love the riff. The bridge isn’t my fav but overall fun track 4. Nice 80s worship 5. I don’t understand the way these track are laid out. The flow is OFF 6. Pretty meh to the bridge. The noodling is great. 7. Finally a riff to chew on. This rocks 🤘🏾the beginning sounds like the knight rider theme tho lol 8. Mid 9. Ok they cooking again 10. This track is cinema 11. The reason this album is on here. One of the most epic songs ever 12. Meh closer. Knights should’ve been the ending track. It’s too epic to follow

Somehow I’ve never listened to this album… or any Talking Heads all the way through. LFG 1. Very funky bass line and eclectic guitar work. Feeling this. Drums good too. Whoa wtf is this weird electric stuff happening in the middle. This song is madness 🤘🏾 2. Man another banger. The layers on this instrumental is crazy. There’s so much going on and the vocal melody is fire 3. You can really hear the African influence on this track. Another banger somehow. 3/3 LFG. Great drums and the lyrics are awesome. The background vocals are sick too 4. The song everyone knows. It’s an anthem. But honestly the other three tracks I’ve heard were more interesting. But that’s probably because I’ve heard this song a million times. It’s still a banger tho 5. A funky number. The layers my god. Sooo good 6. Ok another weird cut but I’m vibing. The tracks are really riding into each other so well. This album is incredible so far. No skips 7. This song is vibes. I love this record. 8. Another banger. 9. No misses. What a creepy brooding closer. This album is a certified classic. 10/10

Wasn’t feeling this at first but the back it picked up steam after track five. You got a couple classics on here and a good finish. It’s not really my thing though. Not big into twangy guitar or country in general. But there are some solid compositions with piano and a full orchestra as well. Great electric guitar too. But I’ll probably never seek this out for another listen for awhile. Understand why it’s here tho. Solid 7/10 for me 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾

Remote Malcom McLaren from this album and let everyone else cook. Also, a lot of those performers didn’t get any credit which is whack. I appreciate the use of African and Caribbean music tastes, but some of it comes off tone deaf and a bit offensive to me in 2023. I wasn’t into this one. Worse one yet for me 1. not at all what I was expecting. Odd instrumental drives by a keyboard or synthesizer? Nice drum beat. 2. What the fuck is this? Is he a DJ? Is my man rapping? I dig the samples and the radio cuts. This is not what I was expecting but I’m letting it breathe 3. The instrumental is great. I don’t know about the lyrics tho. The background singers are great tho 4. Why is he trying to sound Spanish. This is offensive 😂 the instrumental is fire tho. The radio interludes are a nice touch. Keeps a theme going 5. There’s nothing Punk about this track so what’s with the title. I think I’d like this more if Malcolm mcksren wasn’t singing 6. The use of African and Caribbean beats is all over. No shitty vocals on this track 7. No shitty vocals on this track 8. Another song from the Caribbean. This is only decent because of all the background folks. I hate everything about McLarens vocals and lyrics. He is very annoying. Remove him and I would actually dig this 9. I find most of the instrumentals on this very interesting are the least. Some I even like but I don’t love that most of the folks were uncredited 10. Same story here. 11. Love this instrumental 12. What in the square dance shit is this. This is the closer???

Each number refers to a track. I write down how I’m feeling as the song plays. One and done LFGGGG 1. Ok an easy number from the mid 90s. Sounds like something I’d listen to in middle school. I don’t hate it, but it ain’t special yet 2. Pretty boring til the 2 min mark. I like the bass line and little use of strange voice overs, flute. The spoken word shit is played now but is a very mid 90s thing. I feel like every band had a song like this. 3. God this is not for me lol. It’s very pop driven rock and roll that would fit perfectly for radio. I get why someone would like this but it isn’t for me. I’m going to forget this as soon as it’s over 4. Lord no. These lyrics… The music is ok but overall a no from me 5. The guitar tone is nice but I’ll never listen to this again. There’s better rock from this era. Like without question to me 6. This sounds like discount Failure to me. Failure is a much better band imo. 7. Ok this is different. Cool vocalized intro but lord it’s all downhill from there. This album is a sleeper for me 8. “I wish I had my own walkie talkie to speak to god each night.” Gtfo sir 9. The bass line is nice but everything else is mid. Ok the outro is interesting 10. Another discount failure track 11. Oh I recognize this song. It’s actually a bop. One point for the Eels. I think this was on the Scream soundtrack 12. I’m not having any fun either intro person 13. Ugh what a snoozer closer Yup not for me. Boring all the way through for the most pasty. Solid 2/10 for me for that one cool guitar outro and a few cool idea like those cool vocals on track 7. Overall I was just waiting for this to be over

Paul McCartney & wings - Band on the Run 1. Great song and opener 2. Man this rocks. Paul’s voice is great . The guitar work is great. The piano and sax work. The vocalized backing singers working too 3. Shit I’m a bluebird too. This is beautiful. I’m a sucker die a sad 4. Man this guitar work is great. This album is riding m. Quite a vibe 5. Man this guitar riff is sweet 6. My this whole album has been a boo so far. No skips. Let this shit is heavenly 7. Another banger. The strings and keys are fire. And the vocals are like butter 8. Oh hell no I have a sober drinking song LFG 9. Damn this album is a revelation

Aimee Mann- Whatever I’ve known about Aimee Mann for awhile but never dabbled with her music. Let’s see what’s happening here 1. I dig the harmonic vocals over the hook. The instrumental is fine. She’s got a good voice too 2. Ok I get the appeal of this but it ain’t for me. There’s nothing wrong with it but it’s not my vibe. Great voice tho 3. This could ride if I was in the mood for it. I am not in the mood today lol 4. Boring 5. Lord I’m ready for this to be over. 6. This album putting me to sleep 😴🥱😴🥱 7. Ok this instrumental has some interesting things happening. There’s still not a lot of teeth to this album tho 8. Another yawner 9. God I am not into this AT ALL. I’m about to DNF this. 10. This album is hurting me so yes, you can hurt me now. Oasis - Definitely Maybe 1. We are rocking out in the 90s for sure. This is fine. The ending is great, but the verses and chorus were quite mid imo. Saved by the last min but overall mid 3. Why does this remind me of that Coke song in the first verse? Anyway great guitar tone and the riff is nice. I’ve never cared for the vocals in Oasis. I find them too nasally and kinda annoying. But the music here is fine. 4. Baahhhhhhh the vocals are just not it. Again the music is fine. But I’m waiting for this to be over which is never a good sign. (From here on out if a song ain’t hitting by two min in I’m skipping to the next track. 5. This track has some teeth. First one I’d say I actually like. 6. Another good start here. Honestly I’d rather listen to Brian Jonestown Massacre, black angels, etc. This is a good track tho. Good harmony and the riff rides. 7. Yawn 8. Drums are at least banging but other wise skippable 9. I’m not finishing this shit. First DNF!

Marvin Gaye- What’s Going On 1. Sax automatically makes every song better. But lord have mercy, the drums, the keys, the fucking xylophone hitting in the background… and then the swoon of the strings. My god if this isn’t one of the most beautiful songs of all time then I dunno what is. The vocal melodies are nuts. The crescendo on the second verse. 10/10 2. Lord the vibe rolls right into this track. That bass is thumping and the vocals sound like the gates of Heaven are opening. 3. Lord it won’t stop. This album is an entire vibe. And the vibe is let Marvin take you to soul heaven. This is a masterpiece so far. 4. Another W. Simply beautiful 5. Another W. It’s just so pretty. 6. Goated. 7. That flute is HITTIN. Another banger 8. I’m not religious so I don’t care about the message here but the magic is undeniable. Another W. 9. Excellent closer. This album is GOATED Another revelation. This absolutely belongs on this list. Not a miss on here. A simply beautiful musical arrangement from all parties involved. The social commentary is still relevant over 50 years later. The Beach Boys - Pet sounds 1. Aight we all know this song. It’s hippy dippy but it’s a bop. No complaints 2. Ooo this is majestic. Like frolicking in a field hand in hand with your main squeeze. This is a mood. I love this record if I’m feeling dark or in my feelings. It’s banger after banger. Cash’s voice is so good, and all the music is great. You can really feel the pain in him as he is singing. Not the best record to put on for easy listening but if you’re feeling blue, give it a spin fo sho

This album is flawless. No skips. It’s the best lineup of the band and they’re most robust and masterful imo. Everyone brought the heat. If you have to listen to one RHCP record, make it this one. The tracks flow so well together. The peaks and valleys of it all. It’s banger after banger after banger

This was a fun listen. It’s not banger after banger but it is hella creative. And when it hits, it hits. You can really get a feel for where MIA is going. For a debut album, it’s good but didn’t blow me away.

LEMMY IS GOD

Willie is a national treasure. This album is a mood if you’re feeling mellow and chill. Beautiful vocals and guitar playing. It’s not really my thing but I do appreciate it and understand why it’s on this list.

Miles don’t miss.

This is a good album but I dunno man. It didn’t hit like k wanted it to. But David Bowie is such a rare talent and treasure is for three stars for that alone.

A fun listen

Certified classic. This album changed hip hop. Some of the sounds are dated but this was an undeniable juggernaut of a record when it came out. Personally I like other Jay Z records more but this one is still Goated

Big fan of Lou Reed. This album rides. Classic tracks “Perfect Day” and “Walk on the wild side” still banging 50 yrs later
