Hot Fuss by The Killers
Oct 16 2023

The instrumentation is awesome, but the lyrics are fairly cringe for most of it. Best track: Everything Will Be Alright

Oct 17 2023

Wow I've never sat and listened to this album all the way through and it's just incredible. The only bummer is it gets pretty country toward the back half. Favorite song: I've Seen That Movie Too

The Clash by The Clash
Oct 19 2023

Was honestly surprised how much I enjoyed this one. Not my style of music usually but this was great. Favorite song: Hate and War - caveat for the last verse

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Oct 20 2023

I can tell that real skill went into this, but it's just not really for me.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Oct 23 2023

Some really compelling and powerful vocals, and it's clear that she's setting a precedent that will be emulated for decades to come. However, her voice does bug me a little in some of the songs.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Oct 24 2023

Incredible voice, really cool and interesting artistic choices, but kinda horny for my tastes.

In Utero by Nirvana
Oct 27 2023

Just not for me. Gave me a headache

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Oct 31 2023
Green by R.E.M.
Nov 01 2023

Some really incredible guitar stuff. Best song: Orange Crush

Doolittle by Pixies
Feb 06 2024

Just too much wailing for me, personally.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Feb 07 2024

Kind of more country than I normally like but WOW that guitar is AMAZING. Favorite song: Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard

Larks' Tongues In Aspic by King Crimson
Feb 08 2024

This one was hard for me to rate... a lot of the sound layering was super cool, but the passive listenability is pretty low. Favorite song: The Talking Drum

Life Thru A Lens by Robbie Williams
Feb 09 2024

Like two fun songs and the rest are meh. Weird lyrics but it didn't make me actively sad to listen to.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Feb 13 2024

Easy to listen to. Beautiful voice, not really my preferred genre but it was a fun listen. Favorite song: Breakfast in Bed

Synchronicity by The Police
Feb 14 2024

What a weird album. Favorite song: Synchronicity II

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Feb 16 2024

I liked everything about this except the weird voice crack thing he does sometimes. Favorite song: Buggin'

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Feb 19 2024

Some people can cook asparagus incredibly well but I still don't want to eat it. This album is undeniably an artistic masterpiece, but I wanted to take off my headphones basically the whole time I was listening. Favorite song: Thrasher

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Feb 20 2024

What a weird album, but honestly I super loved this. Not sure about the vocalizations but everything else is A++. Favorite song: Chameleon

Feb 22 2024

I really enjoyed the guitar and drum sections in this, and I liked the scratchy voiced vocals, but the lyrics are too irreligious for me to get into it. Favorite song: Wake Up Dead

Mar 04 2024

Feels a little rougher around the edges than my favorite Beatles stuff but was still a really fun listen. Favorite song: Getting Better

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Mar 05 2024

These songs are way too horny for a man whose voice sounds like it's been run through a meme filter. I don't think I'd have enjoyed it anyway but that's what made this unlistenable for me.

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Mar 06 2024

The instrumentation in this is awesome and I really enjoyed the sound of it if when i was a little zoned out, but if I started tuning into the lyrics I liked it a lot less.

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Apr 04 2024

I liked the instrumentals and I enjoyed her voice a lot, but a little too discordant to be something I'd come back to often. Still a lit of fun though, went by fast.

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
Jul 17 2024

Some of these I like but the longer ones definitely get repetitive. Some are definitely a little grating.

Technique by New Order
Jul 18 2024

I liked this more than I expected. The vocals are kind of meh but otherwise I really enjoyed bopping along. Even more fun with binaural headphones.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Jul 19 2024

Love the instrumentals. Lyrics felt a little goofy in a few places. Overall pretty fun but not an everyday kind of listen for me.

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Jul 22 2024

Contemplative in a way I really enjoyed.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Jul 26 2024

A few songs I really liked and a few I really didn't.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Jul 30 2024

Loved Coldplay as a kid and it's even better now. 10/10

Liege And Lief by Fairport Convention
Jul 31 2024

Honestly very fun. What a voice!

The Score by Fugees
Aug 01 2024

Really different than what I normally listen to. I feel like part of what makes it so special is that it has a clear narrative aim and manages to do exactly what it's trying to do. I feel like I need more than a day to sit with it and have a fully developed opinion, but definitely a super sharp and thoughtful album.
