1001 Albums Summary

Starts off with songs containing a combination of weirdness with some good tunes, then the final songs are absolute bangers. Unusual that the album gets better towards the end rather than the opposite. Only realise it’s actually very decent a listen after listening.

Chill vibes, though wasn’t entirely my scene

Wasn’t down my lane, apparently it’s better to start with their other albums. I can maybe potentially see their appeal though

An absolute banger infused with nostalgia, even though the only connection I had with LP was 1 song on Tap Tap Revenge + my classmates hyping about them

Decent chill beats And a mention to the fact I had no idea they were the ones who sang the ‘Freak Out’ song that takes me back to Popo’s car <3

Mid. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. Also, a ‘hard rock band’? I wouldn’t have guessed based on this album

Trip Carter vibes, the best accompaniment to chilling or getting things done at home

Felt like it was ahead of its time, gave 2000s vibes. Cool but maybe would take a bit longer to get used to

Not bad I guess, alt 2000s vibes, doesn’t beat other albums I’ve listened to on here

Lit beats (bar some typical repetitiveness of rap)

Similar to C’est Chic, found songs I didn’t realise was theirs. Not bad at all either

An alternative album I really liked!

Jazz always gets me Would be great vibes for chilling by an open fire Xmas-time Not necessarily when walking briskly to the station

Great dance beats but something about its hint of NPC-ness makes it fall short of 5 stars

Absolute garbage. Put me off so much that I subconsciously put off this whole 1001 albums thing for many days now. How could one even think this deserves to be on the list? Any basic album I listened to in the early 2010s on repeat that sounds a little crappier now could easily replace this shit.

Good for … background music

This sort of atmospheric music is a real and whole experience

Think I quite liked it, even though raising that statement can be tricky for an eccentric-sounding album

My fav typa music: sick yet chill, I guess R&B like I can see why they’re popular

I got reminded of why I always say ‘the only genre I don’t like is country music, unless it’s Carrie Underwood’ Cute tho

Catchy beats that I probably would’ve liked more if I spent more time listening
