Popular Reviews

OK Computer by Radiohead

Wow, I feel like ill probably be alone in my opinion on this one. So I never listened to Radiohead before, but hear how important they are. I don't get it? Probably important at the time, but just kinda generic to me and another sad boy sounding like a sad boy not my thing. I will continue not listening to them moving forward. Giving 2 stars because I know they were influencers (at least thats what I am told)

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions

Didnt really like this one either. There was sometimes this sound to british pop vocals of that era that I didnt like. Almost sounded like they were trying to sing without any bass in their voice or something. Just was kinda boring and uninspired to me.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Oct 21 2023

This album was played off and on all through high school. Now listening to it 20 years later with an expanded taste for music, it still holds up. This is still one of my top albums of all time. The blues, jam band, creole flavors mix amazing. The songs paint wonderful pictures and invoke great emotions. But also, California Raisins song (some of yall may be to young to remember)

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Oct 23 2023

I feel bad, but I didnt like this one very much. Maybe I needed to play a little more attention, but I felt the songs kind of melded together, didn't have enough variation of sounds. Also the key she was signing in wasn't for me. After about half the album I found myself skipping around the last of the song just to get an idea of the rest.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Oct 25 2023

The Elvis Presley of Classic pop/jazz/swing. His music still holds up. While I do not seek it out, was wonderful background music while working.

Oct 26 2023

QUEEN OF SOUL! While I have never sat down and listened to one of her albums, I am so glad I have now. She really was one of the best to do it. Great song writing and emotional singing.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Oct 27 2023

Big miss for me. I am typically not into the whiney singer sound, and this album had it in spades. Alot of the sounds were... i dont know generic? I zoned out most of the album. I do like My Body is a Cage, but thats about it.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Oct 30 2023

Kind of a county soul fusion. Pretty decent. I didn't love it, but I can 100% see the influence that it could have had on Rock music moving forward.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Oct 31 2023

I never really listened to Iron Maiden (at least knowingly) and I probably should have. I am a pretty decent fan of power metal, and I just figured they were a different genre of Metal that I didnt like. man was I wrong. This was pretty good, and such an influence on bands I love. I also did not realize they did Run for the Hills, which is a song I enjoy quite highly. Good stuff.

Screamadelica by Primal Scream

Just fun 90's nonsense. As the album continues it looses a little bit of the "fun" but still good stuff.
