Hotel California by Eagles
Nov 10 2023

This was my second time listening to this album and I really don't understand the Eagles criticism I see so much. I think this is a really fun easy to listen to album that deserves praise, especially beyond the very popular songs on the tracklist. I enjoy it.

This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
Nov 13 2023

This was a really difficult album to find and listen to because it's not really an album, it's a compilation. And only half of it was available to me so that sucked. But this type of music is always fun and easy to listen to. He had a certain quality that makes his seem more special than the other artists like him.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Nov 14 2023

I've been meaning to check out this artist for a while now and I wasn't disappointed. It was like a delightful combination of Radiohead and Sufjan Stevens, two artists I really like. I loved the vocals and the chords, and pretty much every track on the album. Definitely will be listening to this one again.

Transformer by Lou Reed
Nov 15 2023

I've listened to some Velvet Underground and thought this would be a Beatles scenario (I don't really like the independent Beatles work). But I really enjoyed this, I love this sound and had a fun time listening.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Nov 16 2023

I've never listened to Jeff Buckley but I enjoyed it! I really liked his voice, especially when it was on the soft side. Very delicate and beautiful. There were some real interesting tracks with cool chord progressions. I'm not sure yet if and when I'll return to this record, but it was a good listen.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Nov 17 2023

While I don't think Blondie is an artist I would necessarily listen to, I enjoyed listening to this. She has a very unique vocal style and I see why she is so influential. Also wasn't expecting to hear two very famous tracks on here but was pleasantly surprised.

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Nov 20 2023

There's no other music genre that soothes me more than bossa nova. This is such a good record to keep in mind for future bossa nova listening because it was so calming and healing. It was only slightly too similar chart to chart. But I love that sound so much that it didn't even bother me that much.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Nov 21 2023

I don't really think Tom Petty is for me. I didn't love the album, but it wasn't terrible. Some fun songs but overall not a favorite.

E.V.O.L. by Sonic Youth
Nov 22 2023

Yeah I just don't like Sonic Youth.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Nov 23 2023

It's not this albums fault that it is sandwiched in between the two best Stevie Wonder albums (which mean some of the two best albums ever). But upon a second listen, this is a great album and I love basically every track so I don't know what I was thinking.

Southern Rock Opera by Drive-By Truckers
Nov 24 2023

I never thought I'd like an album by a group called "Drive-By Truckers" but I actually dug the southern rock sound they had quite a bit. Fun album.

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Nov 27 2023

This is definitely my favorite Eminem album (though Marshall Mathers LP is good too). The Slim Shady character is so strong here and it makes so much sense for the songs to be that way. It has some of my favorite Eminem songs too, it's just a lot of (fucked up) fun.

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Nov 28 2023

Though I typically don't like this type of music, this soothed me more than the bossa nova. I've never heard of this guy but I absolutely loved it.
