I was just talking about this album minutes ago...and it was also the first album I ever bought! I'd go as far as to say that I might not even be in this group (or a huge music fan) had I not stumbled onto Adam and the Ants on American Bandstand when this album came out.

I like this album more than any Nirvana album.
This albums seems to be all over the place, something I normally appreciate but kinda find it annoying here (maybe cos I'm trying to get my head around it in order to assign a point value, something I wouldn't normally be thinking about.)
I never got into Pulp but this sounded fine, and would probably grow on me with more listens (of course, that's probably true of a lot of albums!)
I've been trying to get into this album for years now, going back to the 90's. I guess I liked it better on this listen than in the past, but still not sure I see the brilliance that others do.
I can't say I get this album the way others do.

I wanted to like this more than I did, after becoming more of an admirer of Dolly’s work after listening to the podcast Dolly Parton’s American recently.
I wish this was a 10 point scale cos I do like this more than other albums I gave 3 stars. Still, my issue with this album is its sameness: there are some strong songs but collectively, not a lot of variety.
Thanks for making me listen. I'd like to give this more spins. I've never liked "Cisco Kid" but I appreciated the rest of the album
I was a little disappointed in this album when it was released, as the singles and b-sides that came out before it were so amazing, I had extra high expectations. With the passing of time, I can better apprecaite this album as it is and, in my opinion, there isn't a duff track on it. It's really closer to 4.5 stars for me.
This might grow on but those vocals make it tough for me to want to keep listening, despite the fact that I think "Take On Me" is a fine song!
I thought the second half of this album was okay but the first half just felt like a parody of speed metal. I'm sure it was impressive at the time.

I didn't know this album and was having a hard time finding time to listen to it. I often listen to these albums while reading, but I found it hard to listen and read to this one. With that said, I kept hearing the first two songs before I would give up, and I thought those two songs were amazing. I thought for sure this album would get a higher rating from me, but the rest of the album didn't move me as much as those first two tracks. I still enjoyed it, but I had high hopes I'd like it even more.
I like some Tim Buckley songs, but none of them are on this album!
Wow, I've been reading about John Martyn for years but never really listened to one of his albums and, gotta say, this did nothing for me. I'm not sure what I was expecting but this sounded like Dave Matthews to me - something in the jam world stripped down to guitar. It might grow on me (if I let it!)
Bauhaus is a band where I do like their sound, but I still find my self getting board before the end of any of their albums.
I was unfamiliar with this artist and can’t say this album made me have any regrets about that.

Masterpiece! I have two records that I are in contention for my favorite album of all time and this is one of them. It really depends on my mood as to which of those two I like best; then again, i'm always in the mood for this one.
Again, wish this were a ten star scale cos this is at least a 7, but would need a few more listens to bump to 4 stars here. Still, I really liked this. I knew the hit buried at the end(!?), but was surprised the full album didn’t have more country elements. Will definitely listen again!
