1001 Albums Summary

Some classic disco songs, but they are a little repetitive for me. Album was funkier than I expected too and you could hear the talent behind the production.

Bluesy psychedelic rock. My Dad loved it and always trusted his taste in music but Eric Claptons guitar playing has always left me cold. Never ceased to be amazed by Ginger Baker on drums though.

Not a genre I'd normally choose to listen to which is why this project is so fun. Reminds me a lot of Kanye West and NEPTUNES, which after reading a bit further about Lupe Fiasco shouldn't be a surprise. Thr quality of production is immense and album is consistent throughout. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the incredibly annoying and repetitive 'outro', which seems out of keeping with the rest of the album.

I don't want to sound like my Grandad, but shaving 5 minutes off each of these wouldn't have hurt. The songs themselves are recognisably classics, especially Wish You Were Here.

I found Marilyn Manson a a challenging listen when I was actually into this genre of music. This is even worse than I remember.

It was just pleasant easy listening.

An amazing album with some classic tunes. It does feel like 3 separate albums jammed together, which if you read about the writing and recording process, it probably was.

It's fine. There are a handful of songs with catchy hooks or interesting lyrics, but overall this is just more beige than I remember at the time.
