Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Dec 30 2023

I had never heard of this album before. I read up about it on Wikipedia and I was really excited about it. It sounded like something I would enjoy, and the members were very interesting people. Listening it, the beats are great, the vocals are smooth, and I love how the members all jive together. This was a really fun discovery, and I would definitely listen to it again.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Jan 06 2024

Good sounds. Amazing history. Didn't really know much about boys music but it sounds great

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jan 07 2024

Sounds good

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Jan 08 2024

Sounds like a spoken word album with a bit of music. Not really into it.

Garbage by Garbage
Jan 09 2024

Trash.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jan 10 2024

Not too bad an album. But a bit prosaic. Nothing stands out, it sounds like Elton John. I get the feeling he's just churning out a bunch of pop hits and hoping something catches and becomes popular.

American Idiot by Green Day
Jan 11 2024

Good nostalgia. Good tunes. I like that the album has a story. But if still seems a bit manufactured to be punk.

Jan 12 2024

Not bad at all. Enjoyed listening to it. Came out in the 70s and I like that era. Nothing sounds out but the album was pleasant to hear. Good tunes and great singing and melody.

1989 by Taylor Swift
Jan 13 2024

What is music? I heard it once described as audio decoration; as we decorate a wall with paintings and pictures and colours so we decorate the space around us with music. Music is also a very human endeavour. Mankind has made music and chanted since time immemorial. Poetic sagas and myths were passed along in rhytmic meter; where we now make a distinction between powerty and music it seems the ancients weren't quite so discriminatory. Indeed we remember things better to a beat and a rhythm; it remains a power mnemonic. I wonder often how the commodoiffication and industrialization of music has changed it. How long were ancient songs?

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
Jan 15 2024

The voice was interesting and soothing at times. Weird lyrics. Wasn't terribly too into it, though.

Jan 21 2024

No question is a good album with great songs. 20 years later it seems more pop than rock to me but it's still a great album.

Fever To Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Feb 01 2024

Great indie sound. Fun album. For good tunes on the road. The hit Maps is fantastic and I love the singer's voice.

Faust IV by Faust
Feb 02 2024

I wanted to like this. The band sounded interesting. If was just noise. Not even interesting noises. Some tracks sounded like good background music but did the most part it was awful

Trio by Dolly Parton
Feb 04 2024

Very pleasant. Needed to hear this for my soul.

Tical by Method Man
Feb 05 2024

Good beats and tunes. Nothing too memorable or standing or for me. But it was a pleasant listen.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Feb 06 2024

Sounded pretty cool. Very unique. I was just annoyed at first but he busted out some cool tunes. Very psychedelic 60s feel

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
Feb 07 2024

I had no idea who this was. I lived listening to it. This was a great sounding album with that 1960's feel!
