1001 Albums Summary

The incomparable Sarah Vaughan. No one can sing like her though many have tried. Love the selection of classics.

Back in the day - I listened to that album probably hundreds of times. It was such a treat to see it in my inbox. I'm rating it high because it is a classic and early Elton John was magical.

Wasn't a big fan in those days and now I wonder why. Really enjoyed it.

I own this album and never really liked it. I feel like Van had one of the greatest rock/pop songs of all time with Moondance but really didn't like his other stuff.

AWFUL. Is this from 1998? Were these people living in a basement for 25 years? I didn't like this sound when it first came out and I like it less now.

This is more bluegrass than CW to me. Nothing more fun than a good old bluegrass festival. I enjoyed the nostalgia of this. It actually makes me smile thinking of times when I heard this music live. Tapping my foot sitting on a wooden picnic table next to a creek in the mountains. And the harmony is much appreciated. Don't hear that much these days. Simon and Garfunkel, CSNY . . .

He certainly has a recognizable sound and strong talent. His music is easy to listen to.

70's vibes - Sly and the Family Stone. Talented musicians. Dreamin is a great song. If I recall this was the first generation of rap when the language was somewhat civilized. I would love this guy to DJ an event for me.

I have always loved Sting and was happy he went off on his own. This album is okay in my opinion.

CLASSIC!!! Another album I listened to a lot. Lyrics are brilliant especially Painted Lady, Alice. And the video for Benny and the Jets is worth many re-watches. Thank you for bringing this back to me.

I enjoyed this playing in the background. I was never a big U2 fan, but appreciate their talent and popularity.

Donald Fagen and Steely Dan will always get 5 stars from me. Their music is timeless and brilliant. Jazz, pop, rock all rolled into one.
