What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Jan 06 2024

First Marvin Gaye album I’ve fully listened to. Almost every song was added to my playlist and I will definitely be returning to it for samples

Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos
Jan 06 2024

Sounds like a soundtrack for a cheesy 2000s movie. Love the vocal only song.

Jan 07 2024

Lots of cool drum breaks and fills. Only really like the first track. Everything else was kinda meh for me.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Jan 08 2024

Feel like this is one of those albums that would be better live. Definitely one of the better rockish albums of the 2000s. This was my first Jack White album I’ve listened to fully and I was pleasantly surprised. It does seem to drift off in the second half for me though.

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Jan 09 2024

This album didn’t really do much for me. A lot of songs were much longer than they needed to be. It was honestly a struggle to get through at some points.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Jan 10 2024

Very fun listen. The beats and samples are incredible. as someone who was only 2 years old when this came out and grew up on modern “mumble rap” I found myself enjoying this more than I thought I would.

Destroyer by KISS
Jan 11 2024

This album did nothing for me. Kiss feels like I’m listening to a cover band at a dive bar

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Jan 12 2024

This album holds up pretty good for something from 1999. I enjoyed most of the songs and the variety. I completely understand the hate for the run time but as a whole it’s a solid album for the length. I have a feeling this album is gonna screw up my Spotify recommendations because of the length.

Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen
Jan 13 2024

This album did absolutely nothing for me. I’ve never been a big Bruce Springsteen fan but I can see the appeal for some people. If the album had more of a faster pace I feel like it would be better.

Dear Science by TV On The Radio
Jan 14 2024

Lots of cool synths and drums but I couldn’t stand the high pitched vocals at some points.

Jan 15 2024

Generic sounding indie album. A lot of the songs were very boring to me. I really like M62 song, other than that it seemed to drag on.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Jan 16 2024

Feels like this set the blueprint for a lot of pop music or this generation. I was honestly very surprised with how much I enjoyed this album.

The Bends by Radiohead
Jan 17 2024

I can see why the reviews for this are so good. This is a classic and holds up very well to this day. I loved every track.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jan 19 2024

Little long for my liking but still a great album. The harder faster paced songs were more up my alley but the ballads and slower songs still make the album worth listening to.

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Jan 20 2024

I’ll be honest I haven’t listened to this since I was a kid and I regret it. This album is incredible. I am a bit biased bc I’m a huge Kanye fan but the samples and features on this album are insane. The pitched up gospel samples are untouchable. There will never be another album like this. The skits also fit perfectly and aren’t out of place like a lot of the ones featured in other rap albums.

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Jan 21 2024

A lot of house classics. I’m a sucker for anything released by XL. The interludes are really interesting as well.

Dirty by Sonic Youth
