Smokers Delight by Nightmares On Wax

Not my style. Tried to appreciate it, but I was extremely bored. This is background music for some place I don’t want to be at.

One World by John Martyn
Jan 07 2024

Unique voice. Not my style.

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Jan 08 2024

So Ray of Light and Frozen I remember from when it was first popular. Overall good pop album. Dated sounding, but solid.

Roger the Engineer by The Yardbirds
Jan 09 2024

Everything about this is so good. I’m upset I’ve not heard it before.

American Pie by Don McLean
Jan 10 2024

I’m actually not a fan of the title track 🙃. And overall not a fan. It’s not interesting it’s just fine.

Doolittle by Pixies
Jan 11 2024

TIL that several songs that I thought were Nirvana songs are in fact by the Pixies. Love it still.

Jan 12 2024

Power is such a good song. Honestly amazing album. Like every track. Nothing even remotely bad. Amazing.

Vespertine by Björk
Jan 13 2024

Haunting and beautiful and amazing, Pagan Poetry is still a song that calls to me and makes me feel everything. So beautiful.

Beautiful Freak by Eels
Jan 14 2024

Slightly pretentious lyrics. Decent pop album. Nothing really stands out. It’s just there and fine.

Drunk by Thundercat
Jan 15 2024

Then Changes is a song I’ve enjoyed, but the album just didn’t draw me in. Technically good music, but the entire album? It felt tedious and a chore to finish. Good, but too much.

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Jan 17 2024

I was one of those teenagers who became obsessed with these songs. They’re all still pretty great. It’s a dated sound, but amazing example of rave music in the late 90’s. I actually didn’t realize how many songs where on this album, packed with good stuff.

Treasure by Cocteau Twins
Jan 18 2024

Beautiful vibe. Perfect morning listen. I have never heard any songs from this album even though I know it’s a band I enjoy.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Jan 19 2024

God damn. Fucking beautiful. Everything.

Jan 20 2024

The singles I’d heard obviously, but the whole album is an experience, really enjoyable.

Smokers Delight by Nightmares On Wax
Jan 21 2024

Not my style. Tried to appreciate it, but I was extremely bored. This is background music for some place I don’t want to be at.

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield
Jan 22 2024

It’s fine? Rather boring, but great talent.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jan 24 2024

Beautiful album.

We're Only In It For The Money by The Mothers Of Invention
Jan 25 2024

Found it pretty dang annoying to be honest. Too conceptual. Too much to say. Not enough just music. Sure there are some fun critiques and lots of musical talent, but like it’s not fun and doesn’t stand the test of time imo.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Jan 27 2024

Pretty sure my dad listened to this growing up. It’s good, enjoyable. The extended jam band songs aren’t really my thing, but I can appreciate how talented they are.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jan 28 2024

Go to Her, White Rabbit and Someone to Love may be the best songs ever. I’ve been listening to the second two since I was a pre-teen and at points felt I lived in the wrong decade due to those songs. This album was amazing.

Woodface by Crowded House
Jan 30 2024

Didn’t feel like the band cared, it was such a boring album.

Cut by The Slits
Jan 31 2024

A couple good songs (the cover of Through the Grapevine is excellent!), but overall not very good.

Pelican West by Haircut 100
Feb 01 2024

Not sure why this was included. Nothing stood out to me as exciting. It was okay, not great.

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
Jan 20 2025

I only didn’t really like the first song (Singapore), which honestly that sucked because I was a little turned off to the album immediately. Thankfully I pushed through, because the rest of the album was quite good! Ended up really enjoying the variety of styles/genres, lyrics were great. Not exactly my preference for music, but still great album.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Jan 21 2025

Felt like high school, because it was. It’s good. Nothing stand out to me.

Teenage Head by Flamin' Groovies
Jan 22 2025

Lots of great songs on here!

Being There by Wilco
Jan 23 2025

I hadn’t heard any songs from this album even though there are quite a few Wilco songs I’m a fan of. Very nice album. Consistent and good, not anything super exciting, but a pleasant experience.

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Jan 24 2025

Very good 60’s rock. Like the Beatles but not famous? Enjoyed it!
