Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jan 15 2024

Cinnamon Girl-Great opener and it's wild how Neil had already nailed the signature muzzy guitar tone. A classic but has never been one of my favorite Young tracks. Everybody Knows This is Nowhere-Not much to say but just good vibes. Round & Round (It Won't Long)-Token acoustic track. But a vibe nonetheless. Probably 2 minutes too long. Down By The River- classic jam track and top 5 song about murdering your partner. Wild that Neil has this and Cowgirl on the Sand on the same album. Honestly, if the whole album was just an extended jam based on this track I'd be okay with it. Might be his best guitar solo. The Losing End (When You're On)-Nice little country ditty. Love the vocal harmonies. Running Dry (Requiem for The Rockets) -Probably my least favorite track on the album but I still dig it. The interplay between the guitar and violin is ace. Cowgirl In The Sand-Damn. Might be my favorite Neil Young Track sounds feels like the whole album had been leading to this. Crazy Horse just provides such a great base for Young to work off of.

Not only one of the greatest and most important hip-hop albums of all time but also one of the best albums of all time just ever. Absolute masterclass.
