At Newport 1960
Muddy WatersMuddy waters is obviously an icon. That album was not my cup of tea though.

Why is this album so long? I didn’t even make it halfway through and thought it was over…. but no it kept going. And for what? This is music that’s played in public spaces to get people to LEAVE. I hope to erase this from my memory immediately.
Big Muff and Certain Surprise gave me the ick. Bad vibes from this album in general.
Would not revisit this album. it’s giving beatles too much for my personal taste. i can see how other people could enjoy it. a few of the songs sound pretty.
it was a good album, not really my thing.
This is the first time I have listened to an Alanis album front to back and boy have I been missing out. The first song was a chaotic way to start a debut album, but it worked somehow. Her vocals are *chef’s kiss*. The album made me feel like I lived through the grunge of the 90’s (as not an infant). Will be listening to her discography now.
Easy listening album that made me feel good.
I had never even heard of this band until now. This album was terrifying and beautiful. I both loved and hated it for ultimately the same reason: it was fucking weird. Nylon Smile was my favorite song and it will be added to my every day listening.
fuck kanye
First time listening front to back - it was banger after banger. This album made me want to listen to nothing but rap all day.
Muddy waters is obviously an icon. That album was not my cup of tea though.
I really enjoyed this album, but I don’t have the words to write a proper review on it right now lol
I’m mad this album forced me to listen to Drake. That’s my biggest criticism. I guess the last couple songs also kinda fell off, but if you could’ve seen me dancing and singing in my office to this.. sheesh.
This was one of the most mediocre dude rock albums I’ve heard. There is nothing special about this album and one listen was enough for a lifetime.
We Are Family is probably the worst song on this album. Solid album otherwise.

This is going to be controversial…. I’m not a fan of music for guitar enthusiasts. I do not want to listen to your 3 minute long guitar solo. Even if you are an icon…
You know how people feel about Brie Larson singing that tiny bit of Black Sheep in Scott Pilgrim? That’s how I feel about this entire album. I immediately became obsessed after the first song and it only got better from there. This album is my personality now and I’m not sorry about it.
I love the Beach Boys… but they are a band for a specific mood. Or for summertime. The album is good, not great and not in season right now.
only note was joy was not listenable lol otherwise i enjoyed it!
I don’t typically listen to Slipknot for fun, but honestly will more often after this. Psychosocial was a pivotal song of my youth and it fucking goes.
Nothing hits the same as twangy guitar storytelling tunes. Like listen to Johnny Cash and still tell me you hate country music, I dare you. Similar to many other iconic musicians, I have not listened to a full Johnny album until now. There is a reason this man was an icon and I will dive deeper into his discography because of this.
This was not Monday morning jam music, but it was still alright. Didn’t think it was anything special though.
Music wise, this album was nothing special to me. If it held some sort of sentimental meaning to me it would have been more enjoyable, but it was really just another album. It was nice to listen to while working, but I am not going to seek this out to listen to for fun. It also didn’t make me want to listen to any additional Pink Floyd albums, even though I have heard some of the others are better. Maybe I will try listening to when h*gh and see if I enjoy it more?
Halfway through song three and I feel like I’m having a bad shrooms trip that won’t end. Why is this on this list??!!
Too much going on for my liking. Title track was alright.
Omg imagine opening your debut album with Mysterons? God tier move honestly. This was a remarkable debut album. Everything about this album gave me the shivers. Halfway through I knew I wanted to listen to it again. Highlights for me were Mysterons, Wandering Stars, Numb, and Glory Box. I am officially a Portishead stan even though they have a bad band name.
Meh, the Cure …..
Didn’t hate it, but didn’t really like it either.
First time I listened, I hated this. Tried again and it was less bad (not good tho). It’s just really long - after 10 songs I was over it. I wouldn’t seek this out but if someone put it on as background noise I wouldn’t be mad.
Big Muff and Certain Surprise gave me the ick. Bad vibes from this album in general.
I genuinely tried to be objective when listening to this. The first two songs were alright! A strong start in my opinion. Then Bluebird came on… I couldn’t do it. Had to skip halfway through. Same with the rest of the album. The songs were not hitting and I was over Paul’s voice.
Never guessed that I would be an Incubus fan. I knew they had some bangers but this album was great start to finish. No notes.
I’ve never liked Bob Dylan, purely because of his voice - WHY DOES HE SOUND LIKE THAT??? I tried to listen to this album.. at least the songs Emily rated that she likes, but oh my god. I don’t think anything can change my hatred for this man literally because he sounds like THAT. *puking emoji*
First front to back Elton John album listen. My god, this man is incredible. Will be consuming him more frequently now.
this was fucking weird and i was here for it
Whiny and annoying. Mass Production forced me to give this 2 stars.
Just like many other albums on this list, this is my first listen through of a Prince album. I now understand why so many people love Prince and his music. It wasn’t life changing to me and I don’t know that I would seek it out, but I would listen again.
Genuinely enjoyed some of the songs and added them to my rotation. Other than that it wasn’t special.
