A classic. I didn’t “discover” Frank Ocean until high school and this album reminds me of junior/senior year. So for that reason alone I cannot give it all 5 stars
One thing about me is I love protest music. I wish I could’ve taken the time really pause and listen but alas the day got away from me. I enjoyed having this on during the 2-4 pm slump
Love the Beatles, love this album, first time listening all the way through. My high school band teacher (Mr. T) always said, do not listen to the second disk of The White Album late at night. What I think he meant was do not listen to Revolution 9 on psychedelics because holy shit, what a trip that would be. Many bangers on this album including Blackbird (all time fav, listened to it outside on my daily walk and I shed literal tears bc I haven’t heard it in what feels like years), Sexy Sadie, Dear Prudence, and Happiness is a Warm Gun.
At first I was into it. But as time and this album went on, I started to loose interest and every song sounded the same. Too much Bob Dylan, too much.
So many classics on this album. Reminds me of closing time at Kream N’ Kone. The owners would put on 90s/00s hip hop to get the tourists to leave and make cleaning more fun.
Thank you miss Lauryn Hill!!
The lyrics left something to be desired but the music is very reminiscent of the Allston underground indie scene, at least what it was in 21-22.
Was listening to this while driving and it actively contributed to my road rage.
An album so nice, I had to listen to it not once, not twice, but trice.
An old favorite. Listening is like visiting with an old friend :) Favorite songs: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds She’s Leaving Home A Day in the Life
Casual enjoyer of yacht/soft rock but don’t think this will be in the rotation too much. Not the worst but it didn’t really stand out to me.
Easy 5.
This album is so cunty (positive connotation)
Fun fact: Bridge over trouble waters was the first song I learned how to play on saxophone and my band teacher always had this vinyl hanging up in the classroom. For that reason alone I have no choice but to Stan. Keep the Customer Satisfied, Baby Driver, and Bye Bye Love were some of my other favorites.
Not my favorite fleet foxes album but a great one nonetheless!
Metal thrasher is incredibly goofy to me. Like what are you so mad about? Calm down? Like I can’t comprehend that people are into this unless it’s for a joke. Anyways, this was tough to get through. It’s probably pretty good for metal but seems like they’re a bit… sympathetic towards some problematic tings.
I enjoyed this albums, would absolutely put it on when I’m in a psychedelic mood. Had to skip Fire Engine, that one was just too much for me.
A very good Simon & Garfunkel album. Adding Mrs. Robinson to the rotation, the song is undeniably a banger.
The most Beatles Beatles album (yes Beatles is used as an adjective) but my least favorite of the three). Not terrible but a bit too on the nose
Nice and folky but kinda wanted to ‘Skip’ some of the songs lol
No thoughts just vibes
Jumping back into this album reviewing thing! I enjoyed the sounds of this album but none of the songs really stood out to me. A solid 3.
This album sounded like a warm spring day :). I wish have stars were a thing bc this would’ve gotten a 3.5
Love me some glam rock!!
Easy 5 stars. A classic
