I adore the political commentary and almost spoken word rap style. I finally get Flavour Flav's hypeman esque role in this group, he really pulls it all together and brings so much to this album.
As a listener from 2024 the flow and rhyme scheme on this album are quintessential 80s rap and this album is such a fun listen. While I don't see myself listening to this every day or adding these songs to my playlist as a standalone piece of art. It is awesome sauce
A funky group of skeletons dressed in purple busting it down sexual style
are they goated with the sauce?
This album made my thoughts go away (in a bad way) I don't want to listen to this again.
I pogged so hard when oh! you pretty things went from rolling to rocking. Insane moment. Overall I love love love this album. Each song fits together very well while also being an unique experience in its own right. My favorites are definitely the first two tracks on this album and the only song I was iffy on was 8 line poem. This album is incredible man.
Didn't think I'd like it but, Janis has such a strong voice and the almost multicolored instrumental was so layered and intricate it made me fall in love with almost every song.
Buttery smooth production and vocals encapsulate this album. While for me personally it was a bit boring to listen to, when I turned this album on again while journaling and after when I played some games, I enjoyed this production much more. Background music where your attention can parse in and out from the music. With that said this is still a beautiful album.
This album also defied expectations for me for what I even thought Elvis' music could be, I always imagined music from Elvis to be much more archaic, crackly and simple. yet When I listened to this album I discovered beautiful layered multi instrumental production combined with Elvis' smooth voice.
MMMMM I love me some stevie, I love it so much I wrote a poem:
My My Stevie, how your songs fill me with joy
when you sing with synths and piano
I do become so coy
thank you stevie for your musical bravado
Never really listened to any Nirvana outside of Teen Spirit, this was a pretty awesome introduction to the band. My favourite song was by far the David Bowie cover... but outside of that I just found this to be a very enjoyable album thought I wouldn't say there where many standouts for me there also wasn't any short comings if that makes sense.
I honestly was not a big fan of the vocals on this LP, all of my favourite songs featured guest vocals, such as where the wild roses grow, and Henry Lee. Otherwise this album and the genre as a whole just isn't really up my alley
Fun Album, My uncle really loves Iggy Pop, but.. He scares me, such a pasty saccharin smile, and why is he staring at me like that??? I don't think I can revisit this album because listening to it again would mean I have to click past that horrifying human construct.
I thought this album was a cool rock-reggae ish mix but it quickly got kinda bland and I just didn't really enjoy it LMOAAAA. anyways I am still distraught I missed the Velvet Underground album, so this will probably be affecting my reviews for a week or so.
Signing off,
Luis
a silly little thing with bouts of silliness sprinkled sparingly throughout. Honestly Enjoyed this more then I thought I would fun little album.
This app has transformed me into a BowieHead. He can do no wrong and everything he touches turns to gold. PRAISE BOWIE
The album is just to long and drawn out for me. I think that some of the songs are here are absolutly rootin, tooting and you best believe flootin. But with such a long album the majority of the songs on this record started to just sound the same. I enjoyed it overall though.
groovy and smooth. An enjoyable listen
I enjoyed this album much more then I thought I would. this album is full of pretty vocals and simple yet engaging instrumentals. Really got a beatles vibe from this but I think that is more 60s rock as a whole def will listen to more
beautiful calming album. smooth vocals and instrumental lull in a hushing mood. My favorite song was definitely its to late but as an album as a whole I could barely find any flaws this shit was just incredible ong fr
I get Beatlemania, Beatle fever. Whatever you may call it I have been converted. They can do no wrong musically ( I am sure they did some kinky shit in their prime). Which like honestly, I really wish we came up with the internet earlier because I really wanna know what Ringo was tweeting about in the Beatles prime. Like, you think Paul would have tweeted fly high John with a dove and broken heart emoji when John got shot?
ok so what I may have just listened to Buddy Holly by Weezer for an hour instead of listening to this album, BUT I think I am happier for it.
unironically I didn't know Buddy Holly was a real person and did in fact think it was just a Weezer song. Bad way to start my day.
fun little album, enjoyed it but not as much as some of the other stuff I've heard as of far
never really listened to much Coldplay before besides Vive Le Vida. I found this album pleasant but kinda shallow. You can tell its made by a band who tops charts because while the songs where good they just werent great. Missing that unique or wow factor that really makes me love and artist/album
i fuck with bug music heavy
