Diamond Life
SadeGood strong start with the first two songs, well known. But then the rest of the album seems just… vanilla. Didn’t really inspire. Good singer though.

Some classic songs, but a very samey album with majority of songs not that catchy.
Whenever you listen to the Rolling Stones, you feel like you’re partying right alongside them. This album gets a little slow towards the end but overall is an excellent feel good album!
Wasn’t my kind of music, though I did enjoy Somebody That I Used To Know, which I presume inspired Gotye?
Some classic well known songs here and some good songs I’d never heard of such as What Goes On.
Upbeat, peppy songs, good for background when concentrating, but not the kind of music I’d typically listen to.
Well that’s a bit loud and screamy, isn’t it? I’ve never really listened to Deep Purple, but I really enjoyed this album! Full of energy and classic rock!
Why are they so angry? Why am I angry??!! Why do I suddenly hate my dad and authority?? I remember Anthrax from my younger years. Back then I thought they were overly whiny with no actual musical talent, just the ability to repeat chords very quickly whilst shouting. I still think the same. This album did energise me to be fair, but it’s a bit too angry at its dad for me.
A great album! This album proves that you don’t need to understand the lyrics to enjoy good blues! Upbeat and catchy!
I don’t really class this as music. It’s more bad poetry with a backing track. In this case, the backing track is a terrible rendition of 1970’s karate film sound effects. Not for me.
Some good songs, especially liked Animal Zoo, but goes a little awry with some of its songs.
Yeah yeah yeah, it was ok. Kind of reminded me of going to a late night bar with live music in Camden. No songs really stood out though, a little samey, but good background music.
Well. Very good. Highly original, exactly what you’d want from a classical piano album I would imagine. Problem is I’m not much of a classical fan, so I wouldn’t usually listen to this. Each piece goes on a bit too long for me as well, but you can hear the talent in the music, it’s just too sophisticated for me.
Some of his most classic songs in here, it’s a nice album to listen to.
This album makes you feel like you’ve shot straight back to the early 70’s disco / motown / hip hop scene. The music gets a little fairground from track 7, but it starts strong.
Classic Frank! Gotta love it!
A little slow for me, though gets a bit more groovy towards the end.
Well it’s a bit of a short album, it has excellent instrumentals, ends of the most famous song, but I enjoyed it!
I liked it, it was a fun album.
I’m a huge Foo Fighters fan, so loved this album. It isn’t their best, but is a lovely throwback to their earlier years
Is this what people listen to when high on drugs? I couldn’t get into it, it was just noise! Not for me.
Well! This was an interesting one! Upon beginning to listen, I immediately didn’t like it! The usual electronic synth nonsense people tried to pass as music, but is just garbage! But the more I listened, the more I enjoyed it. Then song 4 hit and I realised that I’d heard this band before! Song 5 was also great and before I knew it I was listening to the album again! I shouldn’t be so judgemental!
I know this band very well, I think everyone probably does. I knew a lot of the songs on this album and they are very enjoyable. For some reason, I don’t get excited by Muse. I think they’re very good musicians and singers and have done some good songs! But they just don’t quite excite me.
My friend Chris really likes this band so I better not be too harsh. Actually I enjoyed this album, it was upbeat and catchy. Particularly liked ‘I’m not in love’, but the vocals were a little drowned out? The lead singer was difficult to understand at times and I hate having to pay attention!
Loved it! Good old Dolly! Very catchy songs, I found it quite relaxing to listen to!
It was ok. Good music, well known, but was never my cup of tea really.
Stories in musical form. This album is upbeat and speaks of current affairs as far as a non black non American can tell, but I didn’t really connect with the lyrics. The best song for me was at the end: It’s Your World. I do like how positive this album was compared to a lot of other rap albums out there.
So I really liked the style of this music and the instrumentals are great, but they go on way too long! I got bored by the very long instrumentals and ended up skipping to the next song as a result. I wonder if their other albums have such long instrumentals? I hope not, I reckon I could really like them with a little adjustment.
Ok I get it, the Psycho music is an excellent atmospheric piece. But 25 minutes?? For one song?? This album is 4 songs and takes over an hour to listen to. That’s way too long! I recognised parts of tracks 1 and 3. Track 4 was absolutely ridiculous! I imagine it related to some popular cultural reference back in the 70’s but now it’s just a random Pythonesque rambling of a crazy man! Who put this album on the list? There must be other albums more worthy!
Good strong start with the first two songs, well known. But then the rest of the album seems just… vanilla. Didn’t really inspire. Good singer though.
A crazy album from a crazy woman! Actually, I found this album ok. Each track is unique and different, there are of course her very famous tracks, not a bad listen.
What the hell was this?? This isn’t music! Its torture! Is this what you listen to when high on mushrooms? Cos you’ve got to be high on something to listen to it! Don’t listen to it! It’s so awful!
I didn’t expect like this album, but I actually did! It perfectly encapsulates the feeling of the time in Britain. I especially liked the song Shoplifting and Typical Girls! It was a fun album!
Brilliant! Even the weird cooky songs are genius. You can hear the experimentation in the songs. Love it.
A medley of not terrible instrumentals interspersed with god awful repetitive sounds that make you want to claw your eyes out. There are one or two songs on this album that wouldn’t be too bad if they weren’t so “experimental”. Thumbs down from me.
I got a George Michael vibe a lot from this album which is weird. I’ve known of Massive Attack but never really listened to them before. They aren’t bad, though i don’t think I’ll listen to them again.
I’m a middle class white English guy who had never heard of Kanye apart from the somewhat embarrassing clips and news articles you see online. I don’t think I’m his typical demographic. I certainly never listened to his music. But wow! That was great! It didn’t feel like a typical album, it felt like a show. Each song blended in with the next nicely. It was very immersive, there was lots of variation on the style of music as the album progressed. I’m not sure I agree with some of his lyrics, but it’s an entertaining listen.
I didn’t think I’d like this but I found it quite easy on the ears and relaxing. Not bad.
I liked it!
Lovely album. Very relaxing and easy to listen to. Great to have on in the background upon an evening.
This album seems younger than it is. I’d have said it was an 80’s album, not 70’s. Reminds me a lot of the punk era. I enjoyed this album. Upbeat and a bit random. I particularly liked Mongoloid. Haven’t heard that word in many a year!
If ever an album took human form, this album would be Vyvyan from The Young Ones. It’s an angey album and I’m not a huge fan of angry albums, but this one also has some humour to it. It pokes a bit of fun at itself and I can appreciate that. Not really something I’d otherwise listen to though.
Erm, it’s not bad, it’s kind of catchy, I knew one of the songs. They like to start their songs with intros from other peoples music. It was ok.
This takes me back to the early 90’s when I would listen to local pirate radio. Yes, some kid who fancied himself a rapper and flashy DJ. I see here he recorded his session. Good for him!
These songs aren’t terrible. Good voice, but they don’t really do much for me. I don’t connect with the songs which is a shame because I feel I should really like them, but they’re just… meh.
Not my cup of tea.
I thought these guys were a woman who sang hip hop / rnb, I was totally wrong! Instead they’re more like a poppy version of Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Not bad, but there’s better out there…
