On The Beach
Neil YoungBland and dragging. I had to check that speed was actually at x1. No energy, no soul in there.

Chipmunk soul is definitely not for me. I tried to give this album a fair listen, and couldn't help but skip most of it.

I only knew Green River from GTA SA's K-DST. 4/5 for this track alone. Rest of the album is pretty meh.
Damn. I didn't expect to not like this one. Of course a lot of classics in there, Aladdin Sane, The Prettiest Star... but even these are hard to listen to now. Not a bad album, but the comparison with Hunky Dory (released 2 years earlier) makes it feel bland.
Meh. A very average RHCP album. Not a fan of Kiedis' voice so I'm biased.
Not really my jam but the talent and soul put in this album is evident. Nice recommendation.
Good vibes, albeit a bit cheesy now. Hard to ignore the uses and remixes of those hits. A "great at the time" album.
I like the Cult style but... This album isn't that exciting. Lots of very similar tracks, and the few catchy tunes are very cheesy to 2024 standards. Rated "Cool but won't listen again".
Classic masterpiece. Requires a certain mood though. Rated "Love it but played so many times I don't really want to listen to it anymore".
In my top 5 albums for sure. There's a bit of everything for everyone in there. One of the few albums I don't get tired of listening on repeat.
Not a fan of the singers voice, nor the down tempo tracks. A couple of gems though!
Beautiful jazz album!
Cool percussion work, but overall very experimental and hard to listen to.
Lovely energy, unfortunately this piece of work did not age very well.
Fat cover, fat sound, fat album. 10/5.
wtf was that
Eeh. Production quality stood the test of time. Feels a lot like angry teenager music though, it's hard to listen to now.
The most average 67' rock album you could think of. So, very good music if you're into that.
Great album, very deep and always interesting. The B1 track must have been sampled a gazillion times by the lofi squad, the whole B side is chops galore.
Yeah yeah great album and all that... Like a lot of these recommendations, I find it hard to listen to it out of the context of their iconic/boomer status.
