Maggot Brain
Funkadelicgrabbed me more this time than on previous listens - definitely one to come back to

i'm a sucker for springsteen but this isn't one of his top-tier for me
my personal controversial favourite album of his
he lost his turntables :(
my inner musical theatre kid loves this so much
probably *the* classic of its genre and so influential
there is a reason why this combination of songwriting and production has been so successful but it's not always for me
an album that i really want to like more than i actually do and will probably end up coming round to
i love country and i love classics what can i say
i understand it is both technically and commercially enormously successful but there is really not a single interesting thing about this album
unfortunately for me as i love this whole era of hip-hop, this has not aged anywhere near as well as some of its contemporaries
perfect album, no notes
bill evans is the coolest
think i need to listen to more soul
i need a smoke, wait a minute
ice cube was really on a roll
joni does jazz is so good
truthfully i wanna rhyme like common sense
he might be a bit of an acquired taste for some people but when you get it, it's so so good
solid and so consistent, costello is such a natural songwriter
feel the same as i felt about boston, it's obviously technically good but there's nothing interesting going on
it's a definite mixed bag for me but the highs are really good
this is going straight into my autumn/winter rotation
a genuine icon
revelatory for pop
surprised i've never heard this one but there's a pretty interesting mix of sounds and influences on it but nothing really groundbreaking
i have no idea what to make of this album
the peaks are so high even if they can't quite sustain them for the length of the album
the blueprint for being a rock star
it's not exactly groundbreaking but they're perfect songs for throwing on a jukebox plus i walked over noddy holder's star in broad street pretty much every day for three years
obviously an absolute classic but hasn't aged as well as some of its contemporaries imo
flawless in every way and one of my favourites of all time
wow, musically so so brilliant and interesting and with the backstory to the recording, a legendary album
i just know 2011 me would have been blasting this at uni
great hard rock with a solid amount of alternative influence
yes the title track bangs but everything afterwards is so bland
