Popular Reviews

Dire Straits by Dire Straits

Really good. This is the type of rock that lives on forever.

Technique by New Order

I am smitten. This album was so well crafted, and suited my taste perfectly. I loved how some of the songs sounded more like traditional post punk and others leaned to a more synth wave-like sound. This album managed to create a consistent sound that never truly felt boring. A lot of the times I find myself bored at the end of an album due to repetitive sound, but this album knew how to keep me on the edge of my seat! If you've never listened to more of the new wave/alternative music this album is a great place to start.

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Nov 03 2024

Not for me. The funky elements were fun at first, but most songs felt dragged out and messy. Had a hard time focusing on the groove and just got a headache :(

Debut by Björk
Nov 04 2024

BJÖRKK queen. This album is truly a journey worth experiencing!

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 06 2024

Nothing revolutionary, nothing terrible. There is much better Creedence Clearwater out there. Overall solid, but the album felt repetitive, slow and frankly boring at times. "Proud Mary" and "Graveyard train" were the most enjoyable tracks for me.

Fisherman's Blues by The Waterboys
Nov 07 2024

Live for the violin. But that's pretty much the only thing this album has to offer. Not good, definitely very repetitive.

Feast of Wire by Calexico
Nov 08 2024

Not for me. Was expecting hip hop and got weird and boring ballads. Some of the instrumentals were ok.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Nov 10 2024

Really good. This is the type of rock that lives on forever.

Bluesbreakers by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
Nov 11 2024

Meh.

Nov 12 2024

One of my favorite country singers. This album is truly phenomenal. Hard to even pick a favorite, when most of the album was truly amazing.

Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Nov 13 2024

Not for me. I wad bored by the third track. Not a single song stood out to me as a particularly good song. Did not finish the album.

Infected by The The
Nov 14 2024

Pretty good. Not my favorite, but vibed to some of the songs!

Nevermind by Nirvana
Nov 16 2024

One of the most influential rock albums of all time, and for a reason. While these are not songs you loop over and over again, they feel fresh even after years of listening. Great introduction to grunge if you haven't listened to any beforehand. The album also does a great job at keeping the sound harmonious and recognizable but each piece distinct from each other. While "Smells Like Teenage Spirit" is probably the most known/listened to song from the album, I don't think it quite deserves to be the best track. In my opinion best tracks are either "Lithium" or "Something In The Air".

Nov 17 2024

It's a good album. Hip hop and rap aren't really my thing but still had a great time listening to this one.

Repeater by Fugazi
Nov 20 2024

It's decent post punk. I feel pretty neutral about this album, but none of the songs really stood out.

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Nov 23 2024

Wow! This album is very atmospheric. So much going on rhythm and instrument-wise. As a whole a very harmonious album with a groovy soul/funk feel. I live for this, so many new favorites!

Stephen Stills by Stephen Stills
Nov 25 2024

Not for me at all. I'm not gonna complain if I hear these songs again, but they really didn't make an impact.

Green by R.E.M.
Nov 26 2024

Pretty solid

Kollaps by Einstürzende Neubauten
Nov 28 2024

Not for me. Got a headache

Dec 17 2024

I really liked this one. Brought back some nostalgic memories of trying to shred "the rockafeller skank" on just dance.

Technique by New Order

Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl
Jun 28 2025

Pretty solid. Reminded me a lot of Frou Frou. The album started out strong and got me in the groove, however towards the end of the album it started to feel much too repetitive. Still worth a listen.

All Directions by The Temptations
Jul 16 2025

Groovy but a bit repetitive at times. Felt great listening to this in the background without it feeling like elevator music.

California by American Music Club
Jul 17 2025

This album took me by surprise. I was not expecting much but found myself jamming out to the album from the beginning to the end. The only complaint I have is that it ended too soon!

Murmur by R.E.M.
Dec 19 2025

Didn't really love this one, "Radio Free Europe" was okay but the rest just kind of blended in and overall felt really repetitive.

Disintegration by The Cure
Dec 20 2025

This album is mostly a roller coaster. Songs that take you on an imaginative journey and others that don't move you anywhere. Some songs like "Lovesong" and "Lullaby" were already songs I liked beforehand. Unfortunately through the full listen no other songs really stuck out.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Jan 10 2026

Not mindblowingly good, but makes great background music, groovy.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Jan 13 2026

I thoroughly enjoyed this album, though the sound is quite similar in each song I was still captivated. One of the rare times I rerun the album as soon as I was done!

Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey
Jan 15 2026

I couldn't get myself to enjoy this, no matter how much I tried. There is much better PJ Harvey music out there.

Jan 21 2026

First half was groocy, funky and delicious. But songs just sort of dragged on a bit too long to my taste.

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Jan 22 2026

Good stuff, many of these songs have already made it to my liked songs, but hearing the album back to back made me love them even more.

Abraxas by Santana
Jan 24 2026

This one took me by surprise! Did not have high expectation but ended up enjoying a bunch of the songs on the album.

2112 by Rush
Jan 26 2026

This album is great company to your everyday life. Whether you are walking, cooking, cleaning or working, this album helps you get through it.

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Jan 28 2026

I could not stand this album. It just did not click at all, seemed to be just too experimental and way too slow for my taste.

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
Jan 30 2026

Well this album is certainly an experience, wouldn't say it quite struck me, but definitely found the listening experience intriguing. I really enjoyed couple of the songs on the album, but unfortunately felt like most were just filler. The country feel of the track"Black Wings" was somewhat surprising concidering the otherwise experimental tune of the album. In the end that ended up being my favorite track.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Feb 06 2026

Meh, it's rock ok but quite repetitive rock at that.
