A wild funk-rock fever dream. Anthony Kiedis is either singing/white rapping about love, lust, California, or all three. The instrumentals are always tight, with amazing work done by each member. While I could criticize Keidis’ vocals to no end, he delivers some of his best on here, along with the rest of the band. Not one of my tops, but a sure highlight for RHCP. Also, my guilty pleasure song will always be “Suck My Kiss.”

Not my thing, but whatever it is, it is done well.

A solid album. Had a similar impact on me as The Stooge’s Fun House
