Decent

7/10. Solid, tight instrumentation. Vocals are not my fav but the band formed a cohesive sound. Seems like a basis for the alternative punk movement of the 80s/90s. Sounds almost like a punky talking heads

6.5/10. A little slow for me but pretty close to unplugged material I like. Track 1 and 2 are very strong

7.5/10. I like the instrumentation as a whole and the vibe of the album. Fame is the obvious standout but Young Americans is very catchy as well. Lags a little at the end before Fame but overall a solid album

5.5/10. The second track is pretty good but too avant garde for my tastes. Kind of sounds like background music but the guitar is very well done throughout

7/10. A little too slow/folk/country for me but the basis for a lot of music that can after. Influential album

7/10. Almost what I like but a little too “whiny British” for my liking. Mix between oasis and grunge with a tinge of Radiohead (the part I dislike). Vocals are all over the place. First 2 tracks are very strong

6.5/10. Funky but too folky for my liking

7/10. Solid yet kinda generic to me. Vocals are hit or miss and not every song needs to be a big anthem.

8/10. California dreamin is one of the best songs ever written. The album encapsulates the sixties movement and is a nice easy listening album to throw on during a nice summer evening.

6/10. Street life is a great song but the rest of the album feels like jazzy filler. Some good stuff by not really for me
