Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Dec 31 2024

Very hit and miss. Superstition is the best Stevie Wonder song of all time, and other songs with similar funk (Maybe Your Baby) were also great. But there was a lot of cheese (You And I) and weak sauce (You Are The Sunshine)

Disintegration by The Cure
Jan 01 2025

Consistently dark except the one hit Lovesong, but I expect nothing less from The Cure

Debut by Björk
Jan 02 2025

I really like Bjork, and this album has two of her bigger hits, but it’s a bit too “experimental” to make it amenable to repeat listenings all the way through

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Jan 03 2025

This album had glimmers of what they would become, but they were still finding themselves at this point.

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Jan 05 2025

Elvis Costello is an acquired taste that I have not yet acquired. Watching the Detectives was decent though.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Jan 06 2025

It was decent, but probably more important as a moment in musical history than as a great Cash album

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Jan 07 2025

Could this album BE any more 90s? Alright is a great track, though the rest struggle to stand out

Traffic by Traffic
Jan 08 2025

Feeling Alright was a good hit, but this album is more notable as a stepping stone in Steve Winwood’s career

Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper
Jan 09 2025

No More Mr. Nice Guy was a good hit, but this album is more notable as a stepping stone in Alice Cooper’s career than as a great album on its own.

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Jan 11 2025

Foo Fighters first album is a classic

Kid A by Radiohead
Jan 14 2025

I don't get the fuss. This was not fun to listen to.

Purple Rain by Prince
Jan 22 2025

Prince is not my favorite, but no respect the craft put into this album

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jan 24 2025

A bit too honky tonk, but bookended by 2 great songs

The Man Who by Travis
Jan 29 2025

A couple of top notch songs but mostly sounds like a Radiohead cover band

Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy
Jan 30 2025

A nice stepping stone on the way to industrial sounds like Nine Inch Nails

Brothers by The Black Keys
Feb 07 2025
New York Dolls by New York Dolls
Feb 27 2025

Prince is not my favorite, but no respect the craft put into this album
