Bonkers album, in terms of instrumentation, soundscape, and especially mixing. Especially fascinating project considering the chaotic conditions under which it was conceived.
A pretty good album considering the time it was released in, but it feels like it aged a little poorly, as the lyrics are very superficial from a modern perspective and the production style just feels kind of corny.
GOATED trip hop classic. Probably my favourite Bristol Sound group.
It reminds me a bit of the slim Homer Simpson meme. The album starts with a few really delicious rock/post-punk titles with a scrumptious bass in the mix, but falls off a bit when you progress through the album – and you notice it when looking the stream counts. Still, there are barely any bad songs on here and it definitely expanded my horizon towards the post punk genre!
Pretty nice Reggae Album. Need to be in a certain headspace to play it though.
