Rio by Duran Duran

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jun 21 2025

Bonkers album, in terms of instrumentation, soundscape, and especially mixing. Especially fascinating project considering the chaotic conditions under which it was conceived.

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Jun 22 2025

A pretty good album considering the time it was released in, but it feels like it aged a little poorly, as the lyrics are very superficial from a modern perspective and the production style just feels kind of corny.

Dummy by Portishead
Jun 23 2025

GOATED trip hop classic. Probably my favourite Bristol Sound group.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Jun 24 2025

It reminds me a bit of the slim Homer Simpson meme. The album starts with a few really delicious rock/post-punk titles with a scrumptious bass in the mix, but falls off a bit when you progress through the album – and you notice it when looking the stream counts. Still, there are barely any bad songs on here and it definitely expanded my horizon towards the post punk genre!

Legalize It by Peter Tosh
Jun 25 2025

Pretty nice Reggae Album. Need to be in a certain headspace to play it though.

Survivor by Destiny's Child
Jun 26 2025

Really cool to see how Beyoncé carries the musical style with her remarkable voice.

Abraxas by Santana
Jun 27 2025

Really enjoyed listening to this album. It sounds like someone gave Khruangbin shrooms and new instruments (jokes aside, they might have drawn inspiration from this)

Jun 28 2025

Pretty pleasant to listen to, especially with the jazzy instrumentation and groove. Very different style of singing from back then though.

Is This It by The Strokes
Jul 08 2025

Not tooooo captivating, not much material standing out to me??

Justified by Justin Timberlake
Jul 17 2025

Some good runs, very party-able, but the vocals can get annoying at times.

Junkyard by The Birthday Party

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
