On The Beach by Neil Young
Jan 09 2025

This album introduced me to a vibe it could not maintain. Started quite upbeat and cheery but with each passing song seemed to get more dbuzz and a tad too instrumental for my liking. Degradation.

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Jan 10 2025

Rock isn't my genre, and this album did nothing to change my mind. None of these songs sounded nice. I heard some truly awful sounds in a few of them. In some of the songs, the music was too loud to hear the lyrics. It was just all over the place. To be honest, I was expecting more from the Foo Fighters. Unpleasant.

Disclaimer: didn't listen to the whole album, only some songs Sol played while we played some Rocket League. Wasn't concentrating on the music super hard unfortunately because I suck at the game. I liked what I heard though, quite a bit of range throughout the album.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Jan 14 2025

Ehh didn't love it, not for me. Can't deny his talent though. Album seemed quite incoherent, each song was quite different from the previous. Chaos.

Ritual De Lo Habitual by Jane's Addiction
Jan 15 2025

Angry sounding album with weird sounds. Kinda liked some of it but not that much. Angsty

Jan 16 2025

Actually quite liked this one. Refreshing to listen to an album released this side of the millennium. Ladd.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Jan 21 2025

This was fresh and quite unique sounding to me. She seemed to incorporate several different genres/sounds but kept it all quite cohesive which made for a pleasant listening experience. 3.5 stars but I'm feeling generous so rounding up. Blend.

Unhalfbricking by Fairport Convention
Jan 22 2025

Cute album. I quite like the folksy vibe, the lady has a very nice voice too. Quaint.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Jan 23 2025

I liked the live aspect. The music itself was ok. Once again, rock isn't really my thing. Can't say anything stood out to me about this album. Ehh.

Graceland by Paul Simon
Jan 27 2025

Nice to listen to. Can't say I was paying too much attention though. Lovely.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Feb 04 2025

I really liked this one. She has a beautiful voice and several of the songs were quite touching. It's rare that someone's voice is so clear I can actually make out the lyrics without having to focus too hard. Fast Car is an all-timer too. 4.5 but rounding up because I'm like dat. Understanding.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Feb 05 2025

Ngl this all sounds the same to me, pretty dreary. Boring

Feb 14 2025

Started and finished strong, plenty of bangers. The middle few songs were pretty dreary, I guess that's her style but I simply didn't have the appetite for a full album of it. Melancholic

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Feb 18 2025

dated.

Feb 26 2025

Pleasant album to listen to while running some errands. Bloke has a great voice, lots of soul. Some bangers in there too. Soul

Be by Common

I quite liked this one. Enjoyed the clarity of his voice. Did not enjoy his acting performance in Silo though. Wooden.
