Catchy songs, hate the bands culture and don't particularly enjoy listening to them
Great album, so many great songs. Highlight being Life on Mars?
Pre-road downs is where it finally kicked in. I wanted to enjoy this album. It wasn't bad, it just didn't resonate.
Dreadful. Dreadful human being.
Don't like Bryan Ferry but this album surprised me.
Atmospheric, beautiful and melancholy. I love The Cure.
Great album, changed the landscape. Breathe is a personal favourite always gets the blood rushing.
Exceptional album. Radiohead are one of the best in the game.
Not quite my vibe but appreciate the craftsmanship. Love that it's made me dig deeper into other genres. It's also live!!
Didn't know anything by Van Morrison beyond Brown-Eyed Girl. Pleasantly, surprised by his output. Great songwriter and vocalist. High point being Madame George.
An interesting journey into a weird and wonderful soundscape. Truly experimental with the tools available at the time.
Fully recommend this one. A product of its time but very listenable today. A great voice and songs that you'll know. You might not be able to put a name to the voice, but you'll be aware of them for sure.
Not the Bee Gees that everyone knows and I don't know why i expected it to be that. It reminds me of the drastic change that Fleetwood Mac made to their sound after the Peter Green era. All the harmonies are still here but honestly, they aren't doing anything on this album that anyone during that era wasn't already doing. There's some clear Beatles influence on this record. The songs aren't bad they just don't stand out too much.
Great album, great vocalist. I've known of PJ Harvey for years yet I've never bothered to listen to her. It's easy to see why she has become so inspirational. Love this one, looking forward to exploring other albums.
Euphoric, lots of sfx. Feels like a wind is gently blowing on my face. Gives the music a whole world that it exists within.
With more listens this could be a 5/5. Great album from start to end.
This album doesn't need much explanation. The best of Johnny Cash's latter works with the untouchable cover of NIN's - Hurt. It is mostly covers and great reworkings at that. Another stand out being Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode. The raw emotion of the Man in Black nearing the end or his life is somewhat overwhelming. Could be argued that although Cash didn't write much on this album it's some of his best works.
