Really love 21st century schizoid man, part of it sounds like speed runners. Really like the prog rock of the songs, but the parts where it's just silence or birds or whatever are a bit too long. I've also heard this album before and listening to it again confirms my thoughts, overall I'd love to rate this higher but as a whole album I'd probably give it a 3.
Who's listening in 2025????
I'm usually not a big fan of live albums, it's ok.
Great album, strong 7.
Hadn't listened all the way through but has a very nostalgic feel to it.
Really enjoyed Change Your Mind.
The one-two punch of let's get it on and keep getting it on are almost too much for me. This guy loves to get it on. Great vibe and overall feel of the albums, fun bass, guitar, strings and horns. Really enjoyable album overall. Can definitely see myself getting it on to this. Very classy album given the subject matter.
Was not sure what to expect with this one but it was better than I expected. Not my favorite thing but was pleasantly surprised. I had only heard gotta get up before and enjoyed Early in the Morning the most.
I was not expecting this. Pretty interesting but not my favorite. I liked all the instrumental stuff but not much else. It was ok. Crumble and Pepita were my favorite. Would give it a solid 2.5
Back when music was music
Great album, couple of long songs that I felt dragged, but other than that I really enjoyed this one. Good energy and the hits hit. Probably would've given it a five it it wasn't for Graveyard Train.
Favorite song: Penthouse Pauper
Really enjoyed the mood of this album, it took me a few songs to get into it but after that I enjoyed most of the songs. I felt it really captured a certain feeling very well but can't quite seat what it is. I do feel that her voice isn't the best at some points in the songs. I do like the vocal dynamics of the songs and the melodies really work. My favorite song was Say Anything.
Great energy, great sound, great band. Guitar, bass, drums, and vocals all come together pretty well. I'm a little biased just because I probably enjoy rock the most as a genre but this was a super solid album. I liked the length of it too, I felt the songs were fairly similar and because of that the shorter length prevented the sound from overstaying it's welcome. I hadn't heard some of the songs before and some were good and some were ok. I liked Feel Your Love Tonight the best.
Seems edgy just to be edgy. Lots of complaining cynical lyrics without much nuance. Really not a fan of this one. Musically it's ok and I can respect the artistic and comedic qualities of the overt lyrics and music, but together they just sound like an edgy, cringy teen. Immature.
Great album, awesome range of songs felt and really complete. I did feel some of the songs were in styles that have been done better now and because of that I wasn't particularly a fan of them, specifically some of the more punk songs in the beginning of the album. Overall a really great, cohesive album and being as long as it was didn't hurt it too much for me. My favorite song was 1979.
Album is fine. Some songs at the beginning felt like worse versions of John Denver to me. I really liked the strings on the songs they were on, whether they were violins or chellos, I felt they added a lot to some kinda mid songs. Downs was at least a little interesting. Overall not super impressed, Spotify started auto playing after and I liked all those songs better than the ones on this album.
Really liked this album. Awesome electronic music, enjoyed the synths and mechanical sound additions. This is one album that felt a little too short. I was listening to it at work and it flowed very well together.
Really great album. Definitely liked the first half much better than the second half though. I think for me, the bass parts and certain guitar and vocal parts carried a lot of the bad songs, although I didn't particularly think they were the greatest songs I was able to enjoy those specific parts.
Good album overall, not a huge fan of Coldplay though, but all the pieces come together and this album I felt illustrates what they do really well, with the lyrics and vocals.
Really like this album, didn't have too much that made it stand out, though. Really enjoyed the dynamic bass lines in all the songs, and that definitely bumps it up.
My favorite song was Venus.
