My first time listening to a Beatles album that wasn't One or a greatest hits. A little all over the place stylistically. I appreciated the sixties sound of Taxman, but disliked the monotoned Love You To. The album definitely encompasses the sound of the sixties.

I couldn't believe this came out in 1978. I'm not a big punk listener, but it's pretty obvious that this is the progenitor or riot grrl and pop punk.

Very 90s. I'm sure at the time it was seen as an evolution of rock, but now it feels isolated and dated.

A timeless classic.
