Imagine
John Lennon
This one was a solid starter, obviously I'm pretty familiar with the title track having played it on piano. I was surprised at Jealous Guy as I honestly thought that was a Donny Hathaway song, he may have done it better though. Drums and piano (rhodes on one of the latter tracks) were another standout to me. Some of the songs are pretty silly lyrics wise and/or go on for too long, but that seems like a common theme with this dude over the years. Overall a solid listen, 8/10.

Aside from the first 3 tracks I'm not super jazzed about it.
Bullet The Blue Sky and Trip Through Your Wires are both new to me and are pretty solid, but the rest of the tracks sound very similar to each other. I guess I'm partly biased from ear fatigue of the first track on Dad's classic radio station, but I recognize the overall musicality and significance anyway.

Not super into this style, i guess it's just a bit too on the nose and not heavy enough. Police and Thieves is a decent track but otherwise I got bored and skipped through it. 5.5/10

Songs In The Key Of Life
Stevie Wonder
One of the best albums ever put to wax. Also one of my finest records owned, it is one of the few that you never need to skip a song, and that you rush to flip to the next side. As a music theory enthusiast and amateur keyboard player, I'm certainly biased in favor of him, but Stevie kills it instrumentally all over this joint. And two of his best grooves ever written in Sir Duke and I Wish are unequivocal proof.

Very out there. Pretty enjoyable though to someone that had only heard the 21st century schizoid man track before. I dig the african style percussion on the first track and the talking drum as well.

Solid instrumentals and a few good verses, but mostly a bit too repetitive for my taste in rap/hip-hop. Still not a bad listen though. 6.4/10

Legendary. Not much else to say on it, followed up one of their best with a visionary electronic album and killed it. Aphex Twin influence all over this record make it a winner in my book.

Enjoyed the songs on here that I hadn't heard. Much more experimental than I was expecting, overall though the production and lyrical content was a treat. 7.7/10
