Van Halen by Van Halen
Apr 18 2025

I found the long guitar solos boring. Outside of that the music is not super interesting. I think I just don't like the 70s.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Apr 19 2025

I can see how this was new / interesting in 1968, but I don't understand how anyone born after that era can find this genuinely listenable. I feel the same way about all bands from that time, including The Beatles. If my life was a movie with subtitles and I was listening to this, a phrase "60s music playing" would appear.

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Apr 20 2025

Loved it, and not just Running Up That Hill. Very 80s, very OTT and sincere. Made me want to get in a bubble bath with my hair up and bask in soft focus lighting

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Apr 22 2025

Groovy, funky, I liked it. A little to prog rock sometimes, but it's something I'll actually listen to.

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Apr 25 2025

It's ok, but I didn't get it tbh. Was that his thing that he sounded like Elvis? Both Elvis and Elvis Costello are far enough in the past for me to not get tne nuances

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Apr 26 2025

Didn’t grab me

May 01 2025

Meh, the good songs are good, the rest is boring

Hot Fuss by The Killers
May 06 2025

I didn't like it in its heyday, but enjoyed it now. It gave us Mr. Brightside, what not to like

Mask by Bauhaus
May 07 2025

Didn't like it at all. Grim 80s rock, very depressing and not in a good way

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
May 08 2025

Listened to a bit of it. Very sad, very country. Would listen to the whole thing, but need the right mood

Cypress Hill by Cypress Hill
May 16 2025

Idk classic 90s hip hop? Didn’t grab me

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Jun 22 2025

Hated it in my early 20s, hated it less bow. Some tracks are good but some are still too whiny

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Jun 24 2025

Meh, didn’t leave an impression

Queen II by Queen
Jul 16 2025

Some are good, some are not so good

#1 Record by Big Star
Aug 18 2025

Meh. Boring 70s music

2112 by Rush
Aug 23 2025

Something for Nothing was like 6/10, a bit of a bop. Otherwise generic 70s hairmetal, but without bang.

This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
Dec 06 2025

Didn't really leave an impression. It's like "generic 50s music". Not bad, kinda groovy, but 5/10

Aja by Steely Dan
Dec 11 2025

Didn't finish even the first song. Generic 70s music

Orbital 2 by Orbital
Jul 01 2026

Like most of the albums from this list, this feels like "generic <DECADE> music". I don't hate it, I don't love it, I feel nothing. I don't even feel particular appreciation towards any innovation in the electronic music genre, if there's any. Because I don't give a shit about the electronic music genre. Deeply, deeply indifferent.

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Jul 03 2026

We get it! It's the 70s! Groovy baby. They all sound the same to me and it's unlistenable.
