Started off quite well. First two songs were interesting musically. His voice reminded me of Thom Yorke's a bit. Wasn't that keen on the middle of the album, went quite rocky. But wasn't paying 100% attention so would like to relisten. Last two songs were gorgeous, especially the last one.
First 2 tracks 10/10, second side 6/10
Good but not really my thing. Got better as it went on. First song is good but very intense. Strange day best track
First song really good. A few good songs but not enough to justify a higher score. Felt like there were a lot of filler tracks. But deffo worth a relisten.
All good tracks, visions of Johanna and stuck inside a mobile stand outs. Lots of bluesy ones that sounds quite similar. Could have been shorter, but enjoyed it. Not as many bangers as Desire or Blood on the tracks though.
It was nice, didn't grab me though. Title track was good. Not sure about his voice
Sounds quite of it's time but very fun to listen to and loads of catchy songs. All through the night my fave. Will deffo relisten.
Awesome sound. Need to listen again but really liked it, very mesmeric.
Not my thing but not unlistenable either.
Reminded me of Siouxie and the bashees, nice female vocalist, nice fun backing. Would definitely listen again.
Quirky, quite Beatles like. Coconut is a great track. Didn't hit me in the soul but was fun to listen to.
Bit of a mix but still very enjoyable. New slaves, hold my liquor, blood on the leaves, guilt trip and ofc bound 2 the best tracks. Some shit ones though like I'm in it and I am a God. 3 and a half stars.
I found it hard to get into as not much of a tune. Maybe if I listened to it more to you'd start to recognise the tune, but most of it I just found myself glazing over. Second tune was better than first.
Stunning album. Most soulful white voice ever, and beautiful arrangements. Tracks subtle and charming. Can see why he does soundtracks. Fave tracks: Sail away, political science, burn on
Very weird, would like to listen again but have to say it didn't really appeal first couple of times listening. Enjoyed second half slightly more.
Fun. Nostalgic in a good way.
Decent. Probably give it 2 and a half stars. Only a few songs captured my attention. Hate and war, police and thieves and garage band. London calling definitely better. Would listen again.
Really nice, would defo listen again. Need to be doing nothing and just listening, but really beautiful.
Absolutely loved this album. I was hooked from the first song, and it only got better. Great amount of variation between the tracks - each one felt different to any of the others. Perfect folk/country/rock album.
Pretty good, just something about talking heads that I'm not massively into. I did enjoy it though and would listen again.
Know a lot of people hate U2 and I always felt like it was a bit wrong to like them, but fuck it I really liked this album and their sound in general.
Not really for me, just sounds like circus music.
Not for me. All the worst bits about British 60s music including the Beatles. Jumps around from idea to idea with no consistency. No soul to it at all. As a stand alone song I didn't mind balloon burning so was tempted to give it 2 stars, but nah 1 you get
Awesome album. Liked the second half even better than the first. Madman and Indian sunset are absolute grooves. All the nasties instantly catchy too.
Nice. Would like to listen again as was quite understated, but enjoyed all the songs. Potentially a bit samey and formulaic but need to listen again to be sure
Classic Kanye. You can hate him but don't tell me these songs aren't bangers!
Have to give it a 5 for the emotional response it provoked in me. First song was enough to make me cry and that carried on for the first few tracks. So pure and evocative of a time and place. Top tracks: coat of many colours, my blue tears, early morning breeze, here I am. Least fave track: the way I see you (just felt a little out of place)
Not unlistenable, but not my thing. Doesn't have the edge of led zeppelin. Smooth 'hard rock', what's the point?
Was ok. Not really a fan of rod Stewarts voice though. Some songs much better than others. Liked debris a lot.
Decent, not really my thing though. Torn between a 2 and a 3, overall didn't grate me when listening though so going for a 3. Couldn't get bill Burr's impression out of my head when listening to even flow so extra point for that.
Straight up classic, the best Bowie in my opinion. Absolute no skip record.
Always gonna be slightly biased against this album for childhood reasons. Thought I'd never have to listen to the libertines again. Have to say though, the music wasn't bad at all. Still can't bring myself to give it any more than 2 stars though
