Not a huge fan of the Beatles...there were 2 songs that I really liked...but otherwise I could do without it.
Some that stood out enough for me to make note...
- Maxwell’s Silver Hammer is an annoying song
- I hate the song Octopus’s Garden
- Mean Mr Mustard is a dumb song
While I've heard of Patti Smith a bunch of time, I've never sat down to listen to her music.
I don't mind the vocals or lyrics, but I don't like most of the music itself.
Tho I'd listen to another album before I could say if I like Patti Smith for sure or not.
Maybe it's just the Legacy Edition I found on YouTube Music, but I don't like having all the live versions of songs.
Welp I LOVE My Generation...first song on the album that I actually know.
I don't dislike Marley by any means, I just never go outta my way to listen to his music.
But I enjoyed this album enough, might be the first time I've listened to one of his albums front to back.
No Woman No Cry is one of his songs that I love a lot, so glad to see that on this album.
An album from a fellow Canadian...nice!
I haven't listened to much of his stuff in the past, I'm most familiar with, and LOVE his version of Hallelujah.
I do really enjoy his deep voice, tho it's not really something I can sing along to well.
- Love the guitar on Leaving the Table
- Especially enjoy the song Steer Your Way
- I listened through this album twice while working...and nothing really stuck out as either really good or bad. It just...kind of was.
- I didn't know any of the songs on this album, I know more from the next two albums, and even those I don't know well.
- Likely wouldn't go outta my way to listen to this album again in the future.
- First album to come up from a band I already know I enjoy.
- Never owned this one, but it does have a lot of songs that I like.
- Strong start with Drive!
- I would definitely listen to this album from front to back again in the future.
When this album came up, I didn't recognize the band at all.
- Fall At Your Feet is a favourite song of mine, but I know it as a cover...not realizing that it was a cover! So this song will definitely be getting added to my play lists.
- I like the vibe of this band, and will likely listen to them again and check out more of their albums.
What's not to like about Miles Davis? Super talented musician.
Get background music for coding I found out today.
For things that I listen to on a regular basis, I prefer vocals, but this was a nice chill album.
Makes me want to drink whiskey in front of fire talking about books.
U2 isn't one of my fave bands, but there are a number of songs I really enjoy by them, and they happen to be on this album.
Good to listen to front to back.
Never heard of this band. Initially I thought it was strong start with the synth right off the bat...but I feel like the album was kinda all over the place wise.
Didn't love the vocals.
- Pretty stoked to see an Elton John album!
- Love the song Bennie and the Jets
- Even songs that I don't know I end up liking...Elton John and piano...yes. Like "This Song Has No Title"...never heard it before, still enjoyed it.
- Jamaica Jerk-Off is my least fave song on the album.
- Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting is another fave.
I've never heard of Gene Clark...and it was...fine.
I didn't hate it, but nothing worth writing home about. No songs really stuck out as good or terrible for me.
It reminded me of something tho, but couldn't put my finger on it.
- Hip Hop is not a genre of music I listen to very often, wasn't super stoked to see this on the list honestly.
- As expected I didn't love it, but it wasn't that bad. Was easy enough to listen to while working on coding. Some songs were a little catchy, like What's Golden.
- Not excited to see this pop up, as I really don't like Coldplay. This is the first (and likely only) time I've listened to a Coldplay album from front to back. I don't like his voice, it grates on my nerves. Why exactly? I'm not sure, but it does.
- I think there is one song from Coldplay that I don't hate...but it's not on this album and I don't remember what it's called.
- The song Clocks is/was SO overplayed that I wanted to punch my computer when it came on, but realized that my computer didn't do anything to deserve that, so I just fast forwarded the song.
-
I've never heard of this band, and didn't know any of the songs. It was okay, nothing that I would really look to listen to again.
I've been basing a lot of my ratings on if any songs really stood out, one way or the other...the only song that really made me go, wtf am I listening to right now is "Bad Liquor".
- Human Behaviour is one of my fave Bjork songs...I didn't realize that it was the first song on her debut album.
- I haven't listened to this album in forever, I kinda forgot I enjoyed so much of it. Bjork isn't on many of my playlists, some of her stuff I don't like, but this album is enjoyable to me.
- I haven't heard Violently Happy is so long, another song I love.
- Another band I've never heard of.
- It definitely sounds like folk rock, and I ended up listening to the album more than once, cause I was beginning to feel that I don't really get the feel for new music the first time I listen to it.
- I don't love the whole album, but my fave songs are A Sailor's Life, and Cajun Woman
- I would listen to the album again, depending on my mood. This is very much a "vibes" type of genre for me. If I'm feeling it, I'll like it...if I'm not, turn it off :P
- I haven't listened to this album front to back....ever, and it takes me back to high school. My brother has this CD but I wasn't allowed to use his stuff :P
- Besides the couple songs that I know, and they remind me of movies that I really enjoy, this isn't really my vibe.
I did not recognize the artist when it came up, and was expecting an album that I didn't know at all.
But I know Gotta Get Up, Without You, and Coconut (which is fave of mine from being in Practical Magic)
Terrible cover of an awesome song, Let the Good Times Roll
Overall I don't care too much about the album, but because it has those songs that I enjoy/know and didn't realize were by this guy, I was gonna give it an extra star, but then loses the star for the terrible cover :P
Not my favourite album from Fleetwood Mac, but still...it's Fleetwood Mac!
It's fine. Nothing special...everything sort of all sounded the same.
Wouldn't go outta my way to listen to this album again by any means.
Even the most popular songs on the album were not ones that I knew or really loved.
I know more Yes than I realized. Short album, but a good one.
Originally started listening to the deluxe version, and I could very much do without Airlock >.> Seeing all the live versions, I went to find the original release so I could stop at the correct spot.
Not my fave Cure album, but I LOVE the song Hanging Garden
- Don't normally love Live albums, but this is an exception.
- The band sounds just as good live as on the albums.
- I forgot how much I actually enjoy Nirvana
Besides the 2 most popular song on the album, I didn't really love it.
Felt like a lot sorta sounded the same-ish, nothing else really stood out.
But I do love You Are The Sunshine of my Life and of course, Superstition
- Couldn't finish the first song/name sake of the album >.>
- Hard meh on this album overall, there are no songs that I would be sad to never hear again :P
I'm not a huge Swiftie by any means, but I got into this album during the Lockdown, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it pop up on this list.
It's not my usual musical choice, but if in the mood, I love it.
I enjoy how it doesn't sound like her other super popular pop-y albums.
Two of my fave Simon & Garfunkel songs are on this album.
Have listened to this one before, and will listen to it again.
I don't think I realized just how many Janis Joplin songs I actually know!
Enjoyed this album so much, I listened to it 3 times in a row.
I was not expecting to see a movie score on this list, but was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Considering I've never seen the movie.
Did not love the first and last songs, but everything in between was good.
While my very fave song by The Beach Boys wasn't on this album, this was a very good album.
RIP Brian Wilson
I Might Be Wrong is the first song that I actually really liked on the album, and it was the 5th song.
Knives Out was the first song that I already knew on the album.
While I would say I really enjoy Radiohead, did not really like this album, will not go outta my way to listen to it again, besides the two songs above.
I only know Song 2 by Blur...and that's about the only song I liked on the album.
Never liked them enough to go...oh I should listen to their whole album!, and I see why.
A lot of the songs were pretty annoying, and I won't listen to this album again.
Never a huge fan of Queens of the Stone Age, but I like there later stuff better.
I've never been a big fan of Beck. I find most of his stuff boring and forgettable...and this album is no exception :P
Nothing stood out as anything really good, tho I guess nothing also stood out as being really bad either.
I have never listened to a Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds album before.
I liked the album quite a bit, but there were a number of songs that I had to remind myself that this wasn't David Bowie singing.
One of my fave Metallica albums, tho haven't listened to it start to finish in a while.
Still love it, classic Metallica.
One of my fave albums, was excited to see it show up on the list.
I've not heard of Goldfrapp, but the album cover was enough for me to want to check them out. And since it was newer was also a reason I was more interested in checking them out.
Good album IMO, would listen to again. Nice and chill, good to listen to while working.
Kayne West can suck a bag of dicks, I'm not wasting my time listening to anything from him.
I would have given zero stars if I could.
Didn't realize how many Iggy Pop songs I knew. Good album.
My favourite Radiohead album.
