SantanaI had no idea what I was missing. This was an absolute blast to listen to and several songs have entered my regular rotation. I had a more detailed review, but it got lost.

A case of you is a great song, probably because I'm so far from when this record was new, that it ends up sounding like all the other folk artists of the era. Which is a shame, I get that Joni was a masterful and influential artist. So much so that all the derivative music of her work, makes her own work less revolutionary.
This was fun, it didn't blow my mind, it quickly became background music with fairly similar hip hop beats. I did really like the jazz flute and favorites one song.
This was fine, I didn't love it, I prefer when the who are rocking than this goofy psychedelia.
This is more my speed. Feels like a evolutionary step between early indie, pop punk, heading towards lo Fi and the 70s rock revival that is around the corner. The Bowie cover is okay, falls prey to what most covers do, it's not distinct enough to be interesting.
This was really fun. As with all early punk, it's always a surprise how much it sounds like my favorite punk from later eras. I have heard of the damned but hadn't heard this album.
This was a good listen. I had never heard this at all and I can a any thinking there is a straight line from this band to Rage Against the Machine. At least in my ears. It's got something electronic and dancy about it in the right instrumental performances.
My inner angry teen boy that didn't listen to Marilyn Mansion cause he was too weird for me at the time, really enjoyed most all of this album. It was sorta like cheap Tool. A lot of the same spices I like, not elegant but dirty, LA and not exactly brilliant.
It's the talking heads, it was fucking great. It's a bop, and it's smart. Always a variety, but a familiar style and structure.
Bjork is an artist I don't often listen to and every time am so impressed with. Her voice is haunting, the beats are sometimes danceable, sometimes melancholy and then there is surprise jazz. Fucking love it.
I wasn't loving this at first, felt like pretty standard female singer songwriter from the early 2000s. Then the bluegrass started creeping in and it got pretty fun.
Wow! What a bop! This all sounded so familiar but so tight and well constructed. I enjoyed every moment and a few songs went into my on repeat playlist.
This is one of my favorite albums from one of my favorite bands, I fucking love the Pogues! It's like folk punk, Irish anger and liquor with traditional instruments and rhythms. It doesn't get much better than this!
