Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
May 21 2025

A little disjointed. Great songs and mood but I’m not fully convinced.

Illmatic by Nas
May 22 2025

Really holds together well as an album. Not perfect. A bit too much of its time. Not every song is compelling.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
May 23 2025

First time hearing. Fine. Good loud blues rock or metal. Nothing jumped out at me but wasn’t bad. Heard again. Groundbreaking. Love it love it.

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
May 24 2025

First time hearing. Lots of fun. Held together as an album. Good pop.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
May 25 2025

First time hearing. Lots of good songs. Immediately engaging. Some songs beautiful. Has a “.sound.”

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
May 26 2025

One of my best discoveries in recent years. Only second time hearing it.

Eliminator by ZZ Top
May 27 2025

First time hearing. Not great. Not terrible. Several recognizable songs. But mostly stupid.

Dance Mania by Tito Puente
May 28 2025

First time listening. Good but nothing outstanding. Great dance music. But matinee not a great album.

Shake Your Money Maker by The Black Crowes
May 29 2025

First time. Derivative. Hard to Handle sounded like plastic. The one about angels was the single and it was ok. Not terrible.

Heroes by David Bowie
May 31 2025

Classic but not perfect. I love instrumental music, and these are good instrumentals. But it’s so strangely weighted by sides. That's not what I want in an album.

First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
Jun 01 2025

Fine. Nothing groundbreaking. Enjoyable enough. Good aesthetic. Strange that there are Sabbath references but they're not obtrusive.

Brutal Youth by Elvis Costello
Jun 02 2025

Goodish songwriting. Production fine. Just can’t past the singing. And the fact that I have no answer to the question “what’s the point?” I mean I’m not against it…

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Jun 03 2025

Cream get better. And they’re better live. This is important but it’s not that great. Not bad either.

The Sensual World by Kate Bush
Jun 04 2025

Rather boring for her. I find it mostly middle-of-the-road and somewhat cloying. I much prefer earlier albums of hers.

Made In Japan by Deep Purple
Jun 05 2025

Deep Purple is a really good band, with great playing and some amazing songs. This album has especially strong live playing. It's compelling but still not great as a whole.

You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr.
Jun 06 2025

Promising. Reminds me a lot of Nirvana. Sort of a missing piece between Sonic Youth and them. More tuneful than Sonic Youth, less aggressive than Nirvana. Nice. Would definitely listen again.

Buena Vista Social Club by Buena Vista Social Club
Jun 07 2025

Beautiful. Doesn't get better. A favorite for life.

American Idiot by Green Day
Jun 08 2025

This does not hold up well. The milquetoast rebellion seems downright silly. I wish it didn’t. That said, I know every song and love many. So I guess it’s above a 3?

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Jun 09 2025

A lot of fun. Very catchy. But I am not sure I connect to it all that much.

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Jun 10 2025

Great songs. Can’t explain it but somehow it never quite comes together. Still damn good.

Calenture by The Triffids
Jun 11 2025

Pretty good. I enjoyed it. I could see this growing on me, but right now it was just ok.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Jul 07 2025

I think this is relatively lame. I don't get it.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Apr 15 2026

This appears to be a rather standard Muddy Waters album. It's probably the 4th or so I've heard. I think he's great, but I'm not sure each one does something different enough for me to hear new ones.

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg
Apr 16 2026

Great. Love the songs. Memories

Fuzzy Logic by Super Furry Animals
Apr 17 2026

Catchy, fun. Not immediately memorable. 3

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Apr 19 2026

Very good. Enjoyable. But some songs are kinda boring.
