1001 Albums Summary

A little disjointed. Great songs and mood but I’m not fully convinced.

Really holds together well as an album. Not perfect. A bit too much of its time. Not every song is compelling.

First time hearing. Fine. Good loud blues rock or metal. Nothing jumped out at me but wasn’t bad. Heard again. Groundbreaking. Love it love it.

Goodish songwriting. Production fine. Just can’t past the singing. And the fact that I have no answer to the question “what’s the point?” I mean I’m not against it…

Cream get better. And they’re better live. This is important but it’s not that great. Not bad either.

Rather boring for her. I find it mostly middle-of-the-road and somewhat cloying. I much prefer earlier albums of hers.

Deep Purple is a really good band, with great playing and some amazing songs. This album has especially strong live playing. It's compelling but still not great as a whole.

Promising. Reminds me a lot of Nirvana. Sort of a missing piece between Sonic Youth and them. More tuneful than Sonic Youth, less aggressive than Nirvana. Nice. Would definitely listen again.

Beautiful. Doesn't get better. A favorite for life.

This does not hold up well. The milquetoast rebellion seems downright silly. I wish it didn’t. That said, I know every song and love many. So I guess it’s above a 3?

A lot of fun. Very catchy. But I am not sure I connect to it all that much.

This appears to be a rather standard Muddy Waters album. It's probably the 4th or so I've heard. I think he's great, but I'm not sure each one does something different enough for me to hear new ones.
