A good listen with a few songs I’ll be returning to
Some very catchy songs on the album, but struggle to get into the album as a whole
Poetic, musical and a unique voice. My obsession with his stuff is still going strong.
Great stories with just a guy a guitar and a super loud harmonica
Very groovy but had some trouble staying engaged with the lyrics
A lot of variety and really great songs
I feel pretty neutral on this one. Sounds like something I would like but nothing jumped out.
A few fun songs, not for me.
A really nice and light feel, nostalgic sounds.
A bit outside what I typically listen to, but this will be going into the heavy rotation. Really easy to get lost in.
Very cool rhythms and some great songs.
Nice music, I liked the sound even if it didn't really leave me wanting more.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this album, nothing memorable the next day when writing the review...
It’s too hot for music this dissonant.
I have listened to a fair bit of The Smashing Pumpkins, but never a full album like this. I am not sure the songs I enjoy outweigh the ones I would prefer to skip.
Really loved this album when it came out and lots of nostalgic tunes - feels a bit out of place compared to the scale and quality of some other albums on this list.
Wild story to the album, really love how it sounds
I liked it more on the second listen - Bob Dylan needs to get in touch with Willie's harmonica volume mixing guy for his next album.
Tons of variety, really enjoyed the brass
Despite loving a few songs I’ve managed to go way too long without listening to an entire prince album
A few songs already in my regular rotation, really enjoyed listening to the album all together.
I enjoyed this a bit more than I was expecting, just felt a bit one dimensional for me.
Really like her voice and a few songs really stand out for me on this one
Nice energy from the start with some strong songs and fun harmonies.
I just couldn’t get into the sound or songs.
Really liked the sound and musicianship but had trouble staying engaged throughout.
Really great sound and drew me in with the story.
Interesting concept... I'm not sure I enjoyed my visit to 1920's Germany, but I am not sure I was supposed to.
Some of the most recognizable guitar parts ever, very fun album.
I can see why this is one of Dad's favourites. Each song builds through so many musical stages. Really enjoyed it.
Really great sounds, especially enjoy the guitar. Not quite a 5 for me but I'm not fully sure why.
Musically has a nice feel, not getting into the themes of the songs.
I really like Knopfler's guitar playing.
Especially love the vocals on this one. Part of my regular listening.
