1001 Albums Summary

I'm not an expert on country music, and don't really enjoy the genre in general, but this album for me doesn't really rate that high, even in comparison with other country albums. The first half of the album is quite alright, and I didn't mind listening to it, but the second half just sounds kind of goofy, with bad lyrics and instrumentals. All in all, not a very enjoyable listen

A nice debut album. They have the classic sound from the British Invasion, and there are some great tracks on this record. I think it is very inconsistent though, and there are quite some Beatles rip offs on it, but it's fine. I enjoyed listening to it quite a bit. This album also kind of bridges the gap between the classic sound of the British Invasion with bands like the Beatles, and the sound of The Who on records such as 'Who's Next'. There really are some glimpses of what's to come on this record.

Great album. Great tracks.

Although I think it's just a tiny tiny bit overrated, it's still one of the greatest albums of all time.
