1001 Albums Summary

Decent little 60s pop record following The Beatles by about a year. Spangly guitar and good harmonies are very much this records signature.

How does a record sound so ahead of its time whilst simultaneously being such an authentic nod to greatness that has been before? An all time classic!

Some great funksoul tunes with a great production. Can’t be arsed with 18 minute songs though!! Radio Edits hit better.

Document is a departure from the Post Punk/New Wave sound of REMs first four studio albums, delivering a more mainstream and poppier sound. Closer to Out of Time and Automatic for the People, whose sound catapulted REM into Global MegaStardom. A solid record with great singles and zero filler!

When you are the Master in your field…stick to it!!! This record is rock n’ roll at its peak delivered by a generational talent!! Sticks to a formula but delivers!!

Some good tunes on it but just not Bon Scott.

What a blast!!! Dirty tunes that are before their time. No nonsense, balls out bangers that paved the way for lots of what was yet to come.

Apart from one or two obvious tracks, this had passed me by and that is a shame as it is a wonderfully eclectic mix of songs, all uniquely delivered. Stand out track for me is Jump Into The Fire!
