1001 Albums Summary

Decent little 60s pop record following The Beatles by about a year. Spangly guitar and good harmonies are very much this records signature.

How does a record sound so ahead of its time whilst simultaneously being such an authentic nod to greatness that has been before? An all time classic!

Some great funksoul tunes with a great production. Can’t be arsed with 18 minute songs though!! Radio Edits hit better.

An all-time classic!! No arguments!!

Document is a departure from the Post Punk/New Wave sound of REMs first four studio albums, delivering a more mainstream and poppier sound. Closer to Out of Time and Automatic for the People, whose sound catapulted REM into Global MegaStardom. A solid record with great singles and zero filler!

When you are the Master in your field…stick to it!!! This record is rock n’ roll at its peak delivered by a generational talent!! Sticks to a formula but delivers!!

Some good tunes on it but just not Bon Scott.

What a blast!!! Dirty tunes that are before their time. No nonsense, balls out bangers that paved the way for lots of what was yet to come.

Jaaaaazzzz…nice! Not my cup of tea.

Some nice bits.

One paced from start to finish. I get what it is but it is quite boring. Not my favourite outing from The Boss.

A sweet collection of tunes that got my day off to a perfect start!

I missed this one when it came around and that is a shame as it is a very good record!! Great production with a good mix of feelings. Nice Work, Mick!!

Fun, balls out heavy metal!!

Surprised by how much I enjoyed the majority of this record!

Good music before they turned all production values!!

Not bad

Fun stuff with a few crackers!!!

Apart from one or two obvious tracks, this had passed me by and that is a shame as it is a wonderfully eclectic mix of songs, all uniquely delivered. Stand out track for me is Jump Into The Fire!

Not for me!

Nice but boring. Not Moon Safari!

An All Time Classic!!!

I really enjoyed this and I hadn’t heard it before. Distinctive 80s sound but layered and interesting.

Not a bad record!

Really enjoyed this. Again, passed me by before this so happy to have given it a good listening to.

Love it. Not their best but still full of bangers and madness.

Cack

Dreadful

Enjoyed it. Not my usual go-to but I can see why they are so popular.

Ok

Good modern punk
