Popular Reviews

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane

Very much a sound of the period, needs a richer setup for a more warm sound. Still a few tracks on here that are on the iconic side and a few more that had me thinking hmmmm I like this. A great album, not the best, and no where near bad. A good sound and a good look in the past.

Night Life by Ray Price

This is a nice classic album. Ray fits well in my culture, I love the idea of listening to this at a party with an older audience, all sipping on some beers and talking about the old days... this album would be the ideal background music to capture the moment. Loved it.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jun 28 2025

Very much a sound of the period, needs a richer setup for a more warm sound. Still a few tracks on here that are on the iconic side and a few more that had me thinking hmmmm I like this. A great album, not the best, and no where near bad. A good sound and a good look in the past.

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
Jun 28 2025

Absolutely eclectic in sound and tonality. This is the Webster dictionary example for the sign of the times. Gorgeous sound, classics on here, beautiful work by Cat Stevens.

The Yes Album by Yes
Jun 29 2025

I'm borderline at a 5 on this one. Absolutely had a couple of tracks that I very much loved. Perpetual Change has a great rift that enters the world of Jazz, some great notes played. Awesome album.

Jun 30 2025

Absolutely brilliant, a jazz essence that very much travels around a lot of genre of style. Gorgeous strumming and beautiful horn play, I am hooked.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Jul 01 2025

Fantastic mellow vibes off of this record. Something about this really gets me feeling really good. Lot of the organ, love the tone, love the vocals. Strong elements of blues embedded throughout this. Beautiful album.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Jul 02 2025

I understand the importance of such an album and the artist. I very much love Duke, the arrangements and the imagination poured out. This is just not my style, it's lovely and it stands on its own as one of the greatest, but for my own ears, I neither love it, nor hate it.

Idlewild by Everything But The Girl
Jul 03 2025

Very much not a fan of this. Wasn't into the beat, wasn't into the vocals, a bit laid back and just felt a bit empty. It's not my cup of tea, but maybe it's yours.

Pretenders by Pretenders
Jul 05 2025

Absolutely not a fan of this. Just not my cup of tea, I understand the style and the flow is impressive. Very much has a place in history, but it's not for me.

Jul 14 2025

Not a fan but also not upset with this. I understand the lore, but it's not my cup of tea. Some songs on here I enjoyed, but nothing special.

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Jul 15 2025

Loved this a lot, gorgeous tone, amazing song writer. I do firm understand its spot in this list and Cohen proves his ability on this album. It melts in the background and eases the soul, at least it did for mine.

I See You by The xx
Jul 16 2025

Absolutely fell in love with this... instantly became a favorite. I love the melody each song has and each song eases my soul a bit. Nothing harsh, not trance, this is mellow and mature. Feels good.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Jul 17 2025

I have to admit I was never an Elvis guy... but then I listened to his music and suddenly found myself realizing how much a talent he truly was. I know the image is a gimmick that blown up and now it's just a mockery... but Elvis was truly a once in a generation talent that could belt out some gorgeous lyrics. This album is fantastic, it stands out for the time, and it surely sits on this listen for a reason and ultimately will be remembered for the duration of mind kind in my own opinion.

Night Life by Ray Price
Jul 21 2025

This is a nice classic album. Ray fits well in my culture, I love the idea of listening to this at a party with an older audience, all sipping on some beers and talking about the old days... this album would be the ideal background music to capture the moment. Loved it.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Aug 26 2025

I'm going to be honest... this isn't my cup of tea. It's just not my genre, but I give it respect for not being just noise. I hear the intent, I hear the lyrics, I recognize who Iron Maiden are/were. They belong here, I'm not the best person to judge this because it's just not my class... but respect to them and for making it welcoming.

Scream, Dracula, Scream by Rocket From The Crypt
Aug 27 2025

I'm sorry... but no... it's not my type of enjoyment, kudos to those who love it. I'm not one of you all. We can co-exist... I just want to be far from you.. that's all.

A lot of elements from the Clash, I'm not the biggest fan of the Clash and certainly not the biggest fan of the style through this artist. However, I'm sure it's amazing for others, just not my thing.

I See A Darkness by Bonnie "Prince" Billy
Jan 14 2026

Absolutely amazing and entering my must buys for albums. His music spoke to me, resonates and eased me.

Giant Steps by The Boo Radleys
Jan 15 2026

No... just no...

Tago Mago by Can
Jan 16 2026

I get what it's trying for, but I just find myself thinking about meaning or the qualify of the music to much rather than enjoying it.

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Jan 17 2026

This is classic Jazz and it's Miles Davis. It's gorgeous, it's designed for passive or critical listening. It's not my genre, but it's something I've been leaning more towards as I'm getting older, I don't know why, but the music speaks to me a little more.

Teen Dream by Beach House
Jan 19 2026

Beach House is always a hit in my eyes, I loved this. It's on the longer side instead of Depression Cherry, love this.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Jan 20 2026

It's not my favorite, his voice just doesn't do anything for me. Prolific writer... certainly. Something about Dylan just doesn't vibe with me. It doesn't call to me, the writing is somewhere else with that voice. I understand it's others to-go, but it ain't mine. Still, respect for it.

The Slider by T. Rex
Jan 22 2026

Don't hate it. Don't love it. It's for someone, just not me.

Wild Wood by Paul Weller
Feb 11 2026

ehhhh, its middle of the road at best
