1001 Albums Summary

Pretty boring most of the time with only 8 long songs, though it is at least for me one of the best synth-dance-new wave albums there is (I don't know any other that fits the description). The album cover is a bit creepy and so is the actual music, it's just not my cup of tea today. I'll maybe listen to it later more. 2.5/10 Best: title song Worst: idk most of the remaining

I have known the band for quite some time now and this album is one of my favourites. I love these kinds of experimental music, the connection between Icelanders and nature fascinates me and Sigur Rós is together with Björk my favourite Icelandic artist. It is really great for relaxing and could serve as a study background, although I often listen to it while commuting to school and I will most definitely come back to this almost masterpiece of an album. And on a side note I just love the album cover. 9.2/10 Best: Svefn-g-englar

It is just too long for me and so are the names - they give me Fall Out Boy vibes lol. I know there is definitely a hidden meaning behind these names, but I'm to lazy to research it. I probably wouldn't guess the decade of the release right, as it tries so hard to sound like much older bands. 22 songs and almost 75 minutes was too much for me though and I'd expect something more due to its length. It's just bland and not my cup of tea tbh. 3.7/10
