First album, exactly 1 hour long which was my estimated time to set aside for an average length album :) A bit shoegaze-y, a bit too discordant in parts but enjoyed the piece as a whole. Not in a rush to listen to it again.

Relaxing to the point that I zoned out and didn't realise the album was looping. Lyrics are a bit on the nose. Not my go-to genre but I can appreciate the talent.
Iconic, timeless and full of character. Hard to believe this all began in Aston. RIP to the Prince of Darkness, a true legend and inspiration.
Bright, upbeat and full of energy. Transported me to another world. Sometimes a bit too jaunty/happy for my taste, so I'd need to be in the right mood to listen again.
Immediately engaging and refreshingly unique at the start. It really drew me in - but as it went on, it became rather repetitive, and I found my attention drifting.
Started and ended very strong but a lot of the middle section was a bit too abstract for me to fully connect with it. I appreciated the experimental elements, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations overall.
Hard to get through. Found myself feeling relieved when the sound of the kitchen tap drowned it out. I can see how it would be cathartic if you're already angry. Talent is undeniable but not my cup of tea.
A feel-good listen, high-energy and irresistibly groovy. Momentum dipped slightly in the middle, but vibrant and fun overall.

Hugely enjoyable and exactly my cup of tea. As a record, it feels a bit less intentional and curated than Siamese Dream at times, but there is so much great material. Hard to put into words exactly why I like this sound so much.
I just couldn't connect with this. Sea Breezes was pretty much the only track I enjoyed. The rest wasn't evocative enough to grab me, nor was it emotional enough to soothe me.
Lifted my spirits on a rainy Monday morning. Packed with lots of brilliant tracks but as a record it lacked a unifying emotional throughline.
Struggling to think one thing I liked about this album. The first track sounded like an alarm but little did I know that it was just downhill from there. I appreciate how influential they were in the early electronic music scene but did not enjoy this at all.
Didn't expect to enjoy this after listening to their debut album, but I was very pleasantly surprised. A good amount of variety and nicely balanced experimental touches. Some tracks were not so engaging.

Really liked this. Some excellent parts (e.g. Drowning Man), others were a bit shouty and repetitive, but I suppose the album name is "War" so what did I expect?
First half was hard to get through. Things turned around at Body Count - I didn't expect a rock track on a gangsta rap album but it was a nice surprise. Overall, it painted a good picture of the place and time it came from.
Fists of Love sounded way too much like the song playing during the supermarket running scene in Requiem for a Dream. Apart from this small reprieve, I couldn't wait for it to end.
Now this is the kind of electronic music I enjoy. A good mix of relaxing and engaging, with dreamy vibes throughout.

Didn't quite live up to my (perhaps unrealistic) expectations from Forever Now, but still had some fun parts.

Brilliant, cathartic, and the perfect antidote to another grueling day of PhD supervision. Not sure it would hit quite as hard if I wasn't already in this mood.
Overall I found the album underwhelming for The Cure, though it did close on a strong note.
Who knew I was so into blues rock? A slow burn after the first couple of tracks but had me completely hooked by the end. Also love the iconic album cover.

I never really got into Gorillaz and now I know why. This was fine with some catchy bits but not something I'd actively seek out.
Beautifully enchanting and hypnotic. Stripped-back arrangement that drew me in. I found it very moving but at times felt that it could benefit from a touch more dynamism.
