Crazy experimental apocalyptic album with lots of interesting sound bites. Pretty weird honestly but wasn’t a bad listen through, as lots of the songs had unexpected variations that pulled from other genres. Sometimes the songs felt they had some folk, blues, rock, or were even like a ballad. Lots of old school folk inspiration. Wasn’t a huge fan but was interesting. Very raw.
Quite enjoyable, very good guitar playing and some fun tunes.
Very well diversified. I like how the album changed pace at the end and took on a slower tempo with some neat instrumentals. Good workflow jam
Classic from Bob Marley. Some of the best reggae out there of course, and you have to give credit for the context of the album (revolution). Exodus has some of Marley’s best bangers though so this can’t reach 5 stars.
Some good Irish jigs. Fun album but not much stood out to me. Had some slower songs to change the feel. Can’t say I’d go back to really listen to much of them but it was a good change of pace for a different genre to listen to. Overall, it’s mid and about a 2.5 star.
Good album, pushes the boundaries on rock. Was surprisingly well done and I enjoyed the alt/progressive take that it uses to push boundaries.
Classic Sinatra. Not really many of the crazy hit classics though. Talks about love a lot.
Loved this album. The bassist is phenomenal and the drummer brings personality to drive the songs with interesting fills and beats. Great pianist with some upbeat / chill tunes. Enjoyed this with a warm apple tea at work during one of the first days of the fall season while it rained outside in NYC. Absolutely beautiful album.
It was alright. Just a chill album but wouldn’t listen again. Kind of just wanted to get through it. Laid back bossa nova.
Good jazz album and great for the fall season. Hard to compare this to the Bill Evans trio album that came before this in the queue. Monk is legendary.
Sweet album. Sweet classics like Sweet Emotion. Many repeatable songs.
GOAT rapper with old school Kanye and GOAT album. Did a project on this album that was divided per song amongst the class in high school. Speaks a lot on systemic discrimination and racism. Very powerful album with lots of varied musicality. Second to none lyricism from Kendrick. Absolute must listen.
Pretty insane electronic album, not going to lie. It had a lot of songs I’ve listened to and recognized. Think it was really pushing the boundaries when it was released. Good alternative to Daft Punk, which is one of my favorite electronic artists. Vibes are good and beats are creative.
If you’re really looking for reggae, I guess this could be a good album. Very chill the whole time and got pretty repetitive. Nothing memorable.
Very good album. Lots of variety with an orchestra. Sick drum and guitar solos. Both are very good. Loved the fills from the drummer.
