Comes in with a punchy blast of orchestral delight. Definitely had me moving around a bit. Good rhythm. Before I saw the name for "Duet", I wanted to brush up on my swing dancing with that song. Fav. song, "The Kid From Red Bank".
I like to think about how I might perceive this album, hearing Talking Heads for the very first time....I'd be super impressed. Super fun riffs, clever lyrics, unique sound. 8.5/10 would recommend to a friend.
I feel this album in my soul. The relatable lyrics, well-paired melodies, heart-felt vocals. The subject matters are timeless.
At best, there were some zinger lines. Some auto-tuned basic lyrics, unoriginal melodies, and nothing that I see deserves to be on this list. The "best" song was only my favorite because it had more talented artists included.
Complex, unique, worth repeating. Several aspects of interpretation which gain even more bonus points. Plays on different timings & rhythms, offer another perspective even yet. Lyrics with topics of the senses, like taste, add a layer of poeticness. The true, raw vocals remain unique even if I personally feel they're a bit grainy.
