Jazz isn't my usual vibe, but I really enjoyed this. The songs started to run together a bit at the end, but overall a great time. Wish I could give it a 3.5 because 3 feels too low, but 4 also feels kinda high.
Honestly never really dabbled in blues before, so this was different for me. I enjoyed it. I think I'd enjoy it more if I knew more about the genre/history so I would know why it was so monumental. But overall a good listen.
No notes. LOVED this! Can definitely see how this influenced some of my favorite bands.
A little undecided on this one - some parts I really loved, some I really hated š«
Iāve never listened to the full album before and only knew the singles. But man, was this a good listen!
This one took me a few days to get through. Not sure why, as objectively itās a really great album. I think maybe it was just so long (I listened to the 2 hour version) and at a certain point a lot of the songs started to sound the same (outside of the actual duplicates). Again, 3 feels too low and 4 feels a tad too high, so I wish I could do a 3.5 here. Great for cooking dinner under low lights. Wish I could spend more time with this before giving it an official rating, but overall good.
Wasn't for me. Tried really hard to like this, but just couldn't get down.
Quintessential 60s. Baroque Pop. Funny origin story. Can't go wrong.
What a fun time! And ending on a universal crowd-pleaser? Wow, what a time. Synth-pop will get me EVERY TIME.
Loved this. Donāt even have words - just a good album start to finish. The lyrics were great. Shoutout to Redhead Hemp for providing the necessary vibes.
Started out strong, kinda lost me towards the end ngl. But for a debut album, this is phenomenal. Gonna dive more into her music (because tbh I've never really heard her stuff before, just have always heard of her). This album feels like the late 90s/early 2000s in the best way possible.
Didnāt expect to like this as much as I did! My first time listening to Alice Cooper and what an intro it was. So good. Reminds me of campy horror movie soundtracks which I LOVE.
2 feels too low, but this just wasn't for me. I really liked Strangelove and Sacred, but the rest was just alright.
..... I genuinely wish I was weird enough for this album (not a dig, a serious disappointment in myself).
Right off the top, I got excited because I remember playing Chameleon in high school pep band, so that was a fun little throwback. As a flautist, the rest of the album was a fun experience. Jazz still isn't really my vibe, but I loved this.
This is probably a result of playing it in the background while I worked instead of sitting with it more intentionally, but it was just alright. Nothing really stood out. Not bad at all, just not "WOW".
It feels illegal to rate this so low, but just was not my vibe. Though it was cool to hear some familiar sounds, since it seems like a lot of artists sample this album! Just unfortunately felt very dated. Very Karlos and Chico doing the old school battle rap in Wild N Out. All respect for Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, but just not my thing.
As if I could ever give Morrisey anything less than a 5.
The weirder the better, and this was pretty darn weird.
I absolutely love Queen, so this was an easy 5 for me. Very fun, very lively, just in a league of their own.
Riiiiight up my alley. Adored this.
I probably wouldāve rated this higher if I hadnāt been biased by all the other reviews š„² I understand itās probably not a āmust hear before you dieā album, but itās still a mostly solid record! It did start to sound the same towards the middle, but overall I enjoyed it.
Nothing necessarily groundbreaking, but not every album has to be to be good. Solid record, start to finish. Mick Jagger is exactly who he thinks he is lol.
