Vauxhall And I by Morrissey

As if I could ever give Morrisey anything less than a 5.

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Aug 26 2025

Jazz isn't my usual vibe, but I really enjoyed this. The songs started to run together a bit at the end, but overall a great time. Wish I could give it a 3.5 because 3 feels too low, but 4 also feels kinda high.

At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Aug 27 2025

Honestly never really dabbled in blues before, so this was different for me. I enjoyed it. I think I'd enjoy it more if I knew more about the genre/history so I would know why it was so monumental. But overall a good listen.

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Aug 28 2025

No notes. LOVED this! Can definitely see how this influenced some of my favorite bands.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Aug 29 2025

A little undecided on this one - some parts I really loved, some I really hated 🫠

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Sep 01 2025

I’ve never listened to the full album before and only knew the singles. But man, was this a good listen!

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Sep 02 2025

This one took me a few days to get through. Not sure why, as objectively it’s a really great album. I think maybe it was just so long (I listened to the 2 hour version) and at a certain point a lot of the songs started to sound the same (outside of the actual duplicates). Again, 3 feels too low and 4 feels a tad too high, so I wish I could do a 3.5 here. Great for cooking dinner under low lights. Wish I could spend more time with this before giving it an official rating, but overall good.

Sep 03 2025

Wasn't for me. Tried really hard to like this, but just couldn't get down.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Sep 04 2025

Quintessential 60s. Baroque Pop. Funny origin story. Can't go wrong.

Dare! by The Human League
Sep 05 2025

What a fun time! And ending on a universal crowd-pleaser? Wow, what a time. Synth-pop will get me EVERY TIME.

The Doors by The Doors
Sep 08 2025

Loved this. Don’t even have words - just a good album start to finish. The lyrics were great. Shoutout to Redhead Hemp for providing the necessary vibes.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Sep 09 2025

Started out strong, kinda lost me towards the end ngl. But for a debut album, this is phenomenal. Gonna dive more into her music (because tbh I've never really heard her stuff before, just have always heard of her). This album feels like the late 90s/early 2000s in the best way possible.

Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper
Sep 10 2025

Didn’t expect to like this as much as I did! My first time listening to Alice Cooper and what an intro it was. So good. Reminds me of campy horror movie soundtracks which I LOVE.

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Sep 11 2025

2 feels too low, but this just wasn't for me. I really liked Strangelove and Sacred, but the rest was just alright.

New Boots And Panties by Ian Dury
Sep 12 2025

..... I genuinely wish I was weird enough for this album (not a dig, a serious disappointment in myself).

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Sep 15 2025

Right off the top, I got excited because I remember playing Chameleon in high school pep band, so that was a fun little throwback. As a flautist, the rest of the album was a fun experience. Jazz still isn't really my vibe, but I loved this.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Sep 16 2025

This is probably a result of playing it in the background while I worked instead of sitting with it more intentionally, but it was just alright. Nothing really stood out. Not bad at all, just not "WOW".

The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
Sep 17 2025

It feels illegal to rate this so low, but just was not my vibe. Though it was cool to hear some familiar sounds, since it seems like a lot of artists sample this album! Just unfortunately felt very dated. Very Karlos and Chico doing the old school battle rap in Wild N Out. All respect for Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, but just not my thing.

Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Sep 18 2025

As if I could ever give Morrisey anything less than a 5.

Life's Too Good by The Sugarcubes
Sep 19 2025

The weirder the better, and this was pretty darn weird.

Sep 22 2025

I absolutely love Queen, so this was an easy 5 for me. Very fun, very lively, just in a league of their own.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Sep 23 2025

Riiiiight up my alley. Adored this.

Colour By Numbers by Culture Club
Sep 24 2025

I probably would’ve rated this higher if I hadn’t been biased by all the other reviews 🄲 I understand it’s probably not a ā€œmust hear before you dieā€ album, but it’s still a mostly solid record! It did start to sound the same towards the middle, but overall I enjoyed it.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Sep 25 2025

Nothing necessarily groundbreaking, but not every album has to be to be good. Solid record, start to finish. Mick Jagger is exactly who he thinks he is lol.
