I like Queen for its originality but I don’t love to listen to it

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Nov 13 2025

Might be a classic but not really my style

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Nov 14 2025

Brit rock, much better than us rock

The Next Day by David Bowie
Nov 18 2025

Not a big fan, I guess I also don’t like David Bowie that much and this album didn’t really impress me. I can imagine it’s also not one of his better albums maybe, though I don’t know. Kind of forgettable.

First time I listen to an entire Beatles album and I must say I like it quite a lot, I like the album journey. Lucy in the sky is such a classic of course but the other songs are good too. I would give 3.75 stars if I could.

Harvest by Neil Young
Nov 20 2025

Beautiful album, Old Man is a song that hits me every time. I didn’t know the other tracks except maybe for heart of gold, but liked most of them too. Harvest is probably my second favorite song and then The Needle and the damage done. Such a nice mood, a little sad and melancholic but I like it a lot. Great for listening to in the evening.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Nov 21 2025

Pretty nice listen, although Oasis also just sounds a bit cheesy somehow it is still entertaining. Really big 90s vibe, feels pretty nostalgic. Favourite song: SuperSonic, least favourite: Rock & Roll Star (not a great start in my opinion). 3.5 stars.

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Nov 24 2025

That was a really fun and nostalgic listen, really great album. Such iconic songs and what a start with Welcome to the Jungle. Favourite song is definitely Sweet Child O Mine, the guitar riffs are so good. Listening to the album it made me wonder how I would listen to this album if it wasn’t so iconic and if I didn’t know it already (impossible to find out of course), I wonder if I would actually like it. I feel like because it is such a classic I really listen to it differently, it also doesn’t really sound like hard rock/metal to me but just much more like classic pop music. Anyway, really enjoyed it!

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Nov 25 2025

Very forgettable album, this album makes me feel absolutely nothing. I wasn’t looking forward to listening to it as I don’t like the main song Take Me Out, and it was confirmed by the other songs on the album too. It is not bad music necessarily, but I have no idea how this made it to the 1001 albums to listen list.

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Dec 01 2025

I really wanted to like the album, I liked the beginning for its punky vibe which I can appreciate and reminds me of SSX. But then as i kept on listening I realized it’s not for me, too noisy, too many guitars. Sad but true

Abraxas by Santana
Dec 03 2025

Loved it, best recommendation of the list so far. I guess also I had never really listened to Santana before, of course I knew their name and the general vibe but I honestly didn’t know that tracks like Oye Como Va are Santana songs. Love the Latin psychedelic vibe, right up my alley
