Some songs were nice, others a bit bland to my taste. I was a bit bored of him repeating the same line over and over again at the end of multiple songs until the song faded. It was just repetitive to me.
I was pleasantly surprised by 'blame it on cain'. I discovered the storyline of Abel and Cain from the bible. I'm not religious but am interested how people interpret different lessons from these stories. over-all I had some vibes but it wasn't my cup of tea.
favorites: Alison, Watching The Detectives and (The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes.

Just a fun cute little jam album. Nothing extremely special or bad about it. Some famous covers, some new songs. Enjoyable.

Listened to this with a cup of tea and candles while taking a warm bath. Peak experience.

Didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I had this vision of extreme country music. Yet it has a lot of rock and folk influences and changes its pace a lot. From upbeat songs to ballads.
Favorites: ‘Across The Great Divide’, ‘The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down’ and ‘Whispering Pines’

First of all, I’m not really a metal fan and I haven’t listened to a lot of metal. So this is a first.
Lyrically, I was quite surprised. I like the themes of the songs a lot. They’re very political (ex.: Suggetions, War?, Mind) yet also very personal (ex.: Soil). One line in Mind really stuck with me. ‘Free thinkers are dangerous’ which was more spoken than actually sung kinda hit for me. Especially now we are constantly living in two camps. Famous example the continuous battle between ‘right and left’.
Instrumentals are great. I was genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed the guitars. The way Serj sings throws me off a lot of the times but it’s also very unique so I kinda appreciate it, I just don’t enjoy it.
It was something new. I will def have to relisten to this to appreciate it to its full potential but this is it for now.
Favorites: ‘Sugar’, ‘Spiders’ and ‘Mind’

Classic 80s album. Even though I’m ‘07, songs like ‘shout’, ‘everybody wants to rule the world’ and ‘head over heels’ gives me nostalgia about being in the car with my parents and sister going to school and these just blasting through the radio. I’m crazy about the saxophone part in ‘the working hour’.
This isn’t the first time I’ve listened to this album in full. Like last time I enjoyed it but it wasn’t that special or edgy. I gave 3 stars in my previous review (system of a down - system of a down) bc even though I didnt fully enjoy it, I appreciated the uniqueness. This one gets 3,5 for being a classic and bringing me some nostalgia.

Also not the first time I’ve listened to this album in full. Love this album though. ‘I Know It’s Over’ is so damn beautiful. ‘Bigmouth Strikes Again’ hits every time. ‘Cemetry Gates’ gets me so hyped for some reason.
Probably one of the most fun (live) albums I’ve listened to.

Some bangers and some that didn't really do much for me. I did really enjoy the singer's voice.
Voodoo Dolly reminded me of jefferson's airplane for some reason.
Maybe the more I listen to it, the more I might enjoy it and give it an even higher rating but yea this is it.
favorites: 'Spellbound', 'Into The Light', 'Sin In My Heart' and 'Voodoo Dolly'
Kinda felt like the beatles, pink floyd and the who making an album together but all at their lowest (which is still enjoyable)

nice and peaceful. a bit too slowpaced for my liking but quite enjoyable. Her voice is very smooth. Maybe a bit too smooth which makes it sometimes a bit boring but I can see why people love it so much.

I'm insanely confused. I enjoyed the instrumentals mostly. That's prob about it. I didn't know what certain lyrics were about. Some I did and I kinda could follow their point but yeah. i don't know wheter to be intrigued or weirded out. But I guess that was their goal and they achieved it.

Very entertaining. Found out this was a soundtrack-ish album. Recognised some scenes when I looked it up and am curious what the movie’s about.

First full album of THE James Brown and honestly, I apologise for not listening to this absolute genius earlier. His voice goes from smooth to raw the entire album. The band is killing it which is insanely impressive cause they literally do not stop for over 30 minutes. I’m going to have to go through his discography the next couple of weeks.
