Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Oct 16 2025

Not the biggest AC/DC guy, but better listen than expected. Simple song structure, simple riffs, great guitar tones, and a whole lotta horny lyrics. Hell yeah

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Oct 17 2025

The Austin man himself! Vulnerable, somber, yet hopeful throughout. Feels like an intimate conversation with a friend.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Oct 20 2025

Surprised by the variety of styles in this album. Rock, blues, swing ish, psych. Didn’t notice a theme which I both appreciate and made it an odd listening experience. Overall a fan

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Oct 21 2025

Great story telling! Felt genuine. Was very impressed overall and would definitely spin again

Pornography by The Cure
Oct 22 2025

Captivating! Weird time shifts, key changes. I can feel the rebellion inside of what you could describe as pop songs met with punk. Not a huge fan of his voice but it’s interesting. Drummer stood out the most. I actually liked this and might check out their other stuff

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Oct 23 2025

This was a fun, warm, foot-tapping kinda album with great overall writing. Despite a few skips, there’s a lot of tracks to love here like I can’t dance, brass buttons, $1000 wedding, and in my hour of darkness. Loved the backup vox as well

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Oct 24 2025

Some definite classics on here. Always have liked any zeppelin and it doesn’t stop here. Groovy riffs and weird sections

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Oct 27 2025

2.8: Some cool riffs and organ, a few cool tracks, guitar and organ collabed well, but overall I didn’t like it too much. Genre of rock I am not drawn to

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Oct 28 2025

3.6 Dude is just clowning the troops over some funk guitar. I’m with it

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Oct 29 2025

Dude dropped the n word?? Fine music but not my cup of tea. Kinda felt like a musical soundtrack without being catchy. Last track I enjoyed though

Oct 30 2025

Impressed by the sound for when this came out. I’m a garage rock fan and this seems to me like a pioneer of the genre which is cool. Shoutout the Austin boys! I enjoyed it but wasn’t enamored either.

Suicide by Suicide
Oct 31 2025

Idk man it’s an art form. I’ll give it to them and say that I’ve thought about this album a lot after finishing even though I didn’t enjoy it. No song structure just one sound and a couple layers with sporadic vocals. Frankie Teardrop ruined my day though

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Nov 03 2025

Some good, groovy listening. Loved how clean the guitars sounded. Would prefer a different vocalist to accompany it but it’s tolerable….is what I would have said if I just heard the first couple songs but I found him to be more and more annoying unfortunately. His shouts are giving me flashbacks to Suicide. But enough complaining. Very bright and happy music that I enjoyed overall!

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Nov 04 2025

Loved all of this. Always liked BD and this just strengthened that. Great song composition, lyrics, and almost gave me confidence is a weird way. My favorite album so far!

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Nov 05 2025

Sweet n savory mix of groove and psych. Really liked this top to bottom and having Little Wing you can’t go wrong

Frampton Comes Alive by Peter Frampton
Nov 06 2025

Not bad. Was hoping for more talk box. Imagining the crowd when he pulls it out and how hype that’d be. Easy listening but not memorable

Nov 07 2025

2.8 Disclaimer I only listened to disc 1! Enough fun synth, drums, bass, and guitar elements to make me enjoy it. If they removed the vocals I wouldn’t be mad. Sometimes sounded like the intro to an educational video from grade school

Pretenders by Pretenders
Nov 10 2025

3.4 Was fun and unique in the right way. Feel like she spoke in tongue half the album. Some great band jams in there too

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire
Nov 11 2025

4.3 Groove city. Adding some of these to my cooking playlist so I can shake my hips while sautéing some onions. Impossible to hear EWF and be sad

Station To Station by David Bowie
Nov 12 2025

2.9 I don’t know Bowie super well, but I guess I was surprised to hear an album like this. Title track was great, but wasn’t super enthused after that. Nothing was bad, but most of the album was fairly forgettable. Despite all this I still enjoyed it as a listen and am glad I finally got a bit deeper into his catalog

Greetings From L.A. by Tim Buckley
Nov 13 2025

Didn’t listen too intently but sometimes he made funny noises

The Modern Lovers by The Modern Lovers
Nov 14 2025

4.3 That actually kinda ripped. Loved the two guitars throughout and lyrics were captivating. Good stuff

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Nov 17 2025

Enjoyed listening to a great voice for once

Nov 18 2025

4.5 Idk man it just gave me peace. I loved it and was cool listening without looking at the track list to see which covers would pop in. Read after this was his final album, which makes the final track fitting

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Nov 19 2025

Some solid tracks on here but a little long. I do appreciate the variety though in terms of pop

Synchronicity by The Police
Nov 20 2025

2.5 Wasn’t really into it. Other than the into track, mother (did not like), and every breath, they all kinda blended together for me

Car Wheels On A Gravel Road by Lucinda Williams
Nov 21 2025

I was ready to discount this one early on, but as it went on I actually enjoyed it more. Nothing earth shattering but kinda nice
