Smooth jazz, easy listening. Great for studying/working, chill/end of night hangs.
Not my genre, but appreciated the blend of rock and slower percussion/psychedelic interludes. Definitely feels very 70s.
Groovy, psychedelic rock. Very 60s/70s
Happy music to bop to. Modern psychedelic/synth-pop.
Ambient jazz. Reminds me of montage music in heist movies. At times discordant sounds were unpleasant/tense sounding.
Reminds me of some punk music I like, and at times the Beatles. Upbeat.
Fun 80s sounding vibe. Enjoyed the saxophone in Despair.
Motown, soulful, funky. Nice vocals.
I like the Immigrant song. Although I don’t usually like rock, this was very listenable.
Groovy, funky, upbeat/energetic, cool. Very enjoyable.
Sounds like beetles, rockabilly, but also screaming rock, discordant sounds. Parts of Roll Over Beethoven sounds a bit like Johnny B Goode. Cool to hear their versions of familiar songs (Do You Love Me, Money).
Listening to Harvest, I felt twinges of sadness and nostalgia (reminded me of Lee Ann Womack’s I Hope You Dance). There is a mournfulness to the music. Heart of Gold reminded me of Long Long Time by Linda Ronstadt (lol just looked it up and she provided backing vocals for the song); the harmonica reminded me of Bob Dylan, folksy.
It was cool to hear parts of a song that was sampled for a song I am familiar with in the late 90s (gettin’ jiggy wit it). Groovy, funky, soulful beats.
Several songs I know and really liked (Blank Space, Bad Blood, Shake It Off). Discovered songs I didn’t know (Wildest Dreams, This Love, I Know Places, Clean). Upbeat, easy, boppy pop. But also, slower, more melancholic tunes as well.
Smooth and deep voice, country sound. Would listen again but would listen to other things first.
Good ambient jazz. Liked Group Dancers.
Upbeat. Singer reminds me of Joan Jett. I liked Brass In Pocket.
Across the divide reminded me of “Yellow Submarine”. Easy listening. Country rock.
Upbeat, punky. Reminds me a bit of some of the emo/punk music I listened to in the early 2000s. Liked the “la la las” in “Man in the corner shop”, liked “Boy About Town” and “Scrape Away”.
Like the mix of electric guitar and piano in “Notion”. “Revelry” reminds me of a song by another artist but I don’t remember the title. Oh wait, it was a song from the same album “Use Somebody”. Lol
Funky, high energy, fun vocals, sometimes whimsical.
“Sir Duke” and is such an upbeat, energetic song. The chorus of “I Wish” sounds like Will Smith’s “Wild Wild West”. “Pastime Paradise” was maybe sampled for “Gangster’s Paradise”…all of this is making me feel like I have such little knowledge about music history. So many songs from this album (or possibly even other earlier songs from other artists) sampled for songs that know so well. Really like “Ebony Eyes”
Smooth blues, harmonica sounds reminds me of Roseanne at times
Soulful, powerful, unique voice.
Like “Girls”, reminded me of “A man needs a maid” lol. Recognized “Fight For Your Right” and “No Sleep Till Brooklyn”. Reminded me of the sound of 90s, but was surprised to learn it was released in 1986. “Hold It Now, Hit It” reminded of the intro to Mase’s “Bad Boys”.
At times reminded me of stand-up comedy but in music form, he way he would tease and poke fun and got a response from his audience. Felt interactive and dynamic. Like the song “A Boy Named Sue”. Forgot how deep his voice can go, reminded during “I Walk The Line”.
Blues, really enjoyed the live performance. Liked "Tiger In Your Tank" - Live
Experimental, artsy, haunting/eerie vocals. Very unique, haven't heard very many artists/music like her/this.
Chill, classic, ambient jazz
Easy listening, soul, funky. Liked "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". "Run Charlie Run" reminded me of something I would hear during a heist movie montage. Mix of groovy/upbeat and slow and crooning tunes.
