I have respect for AC/DC but they're not really for me.
My previous review got accidentally deleted so I’ll keep it short: Hendrix was ahead of his time. Hendrix was put on this earth to create music. Hendrix is arguably the most talented guitarist ever. All of these things bias my review of this album. Crosstown Traffic Voodoo Chile Come On (Let the Good Times Roll) Burning of the Midnight Lamp All Along the Watchtower Voodoo Child All classics. Mitch Mitchell on the drums and Noel Redding on the bass are perfect on this album and bring everything together.
Easy listen. Had never listened to Gram Parsons before and did not know what to expect. Not my favorite genre to listen to, but I mostly enjoyed these songs. Medley Live from Northern Quebec and Ooh Las Vegas were my favorite tracks and excited me the most.
Jimmy Page on "Heartbreaker" is right up there with Hendrix. Ramble On is a classic The whole album has a timeless sound to it. Objectively better than Electric Ladyland.
This album is not for me. Generally easy to listen to, but I don't really have the itch to re-listen to this again. It was good background music, but I would rather listen to other things in the background. There weren't many memorable moments on there for me. The last track would be cool to hear live. 2.5/5
This is a pretty boring and uninspiring album for me. I'd even go as far to say that it is borderline annoying at times and I even like some of Elvis Costello's stuff. WOAH! He said that word!?!? The "anti-imperialism" messaging behind this album is something I can get behind, but I can't get behind how it sounds. His voice is pretty corny at times; which I think is what he is trying to do? Sunday's Best was probably my favorite track. I also thought the bass player was really good and had some pretty cool riffs. (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding is an okay song too. It was the only song off this album I've heard before. 2/5
First off, the album art is pretty cool and interesting. This album was cool and easy to listen to. Definitely interested in listening to more of their stuff. 3/5
Hello everyone, I am back to give you some more surface level analysis. First track impression: pretty cool sound. They definitely sound like they are ahead of their time a bit. Cheree is an interesting song. Probably my favorite track on this album. Johnny was a cool song too. This album kind of lost me by the 5th track. I like the dark concept behind Frankie Teardrop, but I don't think it's something I will listen to ever again. I love me some experimental music and have respect for it, however this album just really wasn't for me. Cheree was really the only track on here that had me asking for more. Random thought: listening to this album makes me think of the movie Trainspotting. Random thought: if this came out today, I would probably be quick to label it as corny or performative, maybe I'm just a hater. But knowing this was released in 1977, I want to label it as being ahead of its time and influential. No disrespect to the artist - I still see this album to be an incredibly unique take on what music is and can be. Music would be boring without stuff like this. 3/5
Good album. Not my favorite from the Talking Heads. Good, funky stuff. 3.8/5
Bob Dylan. What else is there to say? I better not read anyone complaining about the length of these songs. Grow up. Bob Dylan is somewhere between music, poetry, and nonsense. "The sun's not yellow, it's chicken." ~ Tombstone Blues is my personal favorite off this album. Desolation Row is easy to overlook because of its length, but it's one of the strongest songs for me. A legendary album that turned an already legendary musician into music history. 4.5/5
Little Wing is a favorite of mine. There were some other good tracks on there too, but overall these are some of the less exciting tracks from Hendrix. Was going to give this album a 3.5, but Bold as Love is one of Hendrix's best performances. Bold as Love is a song that I never wanted to end. 4/5
Some good stuff on here. Do You Feel Like We Do was my favorite song from the whole thing. 3.5/5
A breath of fresh air. 3.5/5
Bass, bass, bass 3.5/5
I have never heard most of these songs before. Word on a Wing is when Bowie is at his best. This is my favorite track. 4/5
Not terrible.
Keyboard is cool. Pablo Picasso is kind of a lame song. This guy is a tool. This jit cracks birds. They sound like Jim E. Brown on some of their songs. If you know, you know. 2.5/5

To cover Nine Inch Nails and The Beatles on the same album and do them justice... 5/5
This isn't really my genre so I am gonna try my best. Walk Away was pretty good Fighter is kinda cringy. This song definitely didn't age well. Had to skip. Beautiful is a timeless song. I learned that it was written by Linda Perry of 4 Non Blondes - shoutout them. This album surprised me. I went into it thinking I wouldn't like it at all. Lesson learned. "Don't judge a book by its cover!" 3/5
I love Every Breath You Take. Without that song, this album is probably a 2 for me. 3/5
