Cheesy and unremarkable 80's soul musak.

The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
Nov 13 2025
Live At Leeds by The Who
Nov 14 2025

Pretty energetic stuff. I was pleasantly surprised by My Generation, I'm not a fond of the studio version, but here they made a really solid work and the track keep you banging the whole 15 minutes.

The Band by The Band
Nov 15 2025

A pleasant listen, but nothing really clicks for me.

Who's Next by The Who
Nov 16 2025

Already knew the album, really not my taste. I find it overproduced, the singing very bland, the keyboards cheesy, the guitar technically impressive but boring... Overall I quite prefer their beat period. Won't Get Fooled Again is ok tho.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Nov 17 2025

Nice and mellow. The gospel influence of They Won't Go When I Go is really cool.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Nov 18 2025

Pretty good album, very cohesive and somehow catchy.

Cupid & Psyche 85 by Scritti Politti
Nov 19 2025

I can understand the appeal, but I find the dancing parts a bit clunky, and it's so, SO much rooted in the 80's it's almost painful to listen at times.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Nov 21 2025

A very nice folk album with soft and cozy tracks. I love the atmosphere, it's somehow warm and reassuring even on the more energic parts of the album.

Van Halen by Van Halen
Nov 22 2025

Well it's technically impressive but I don't really connect with the songs.

Nov 23 2025

One of my all-time favs, it's soooo chill and cheerful and fun! The duo Bonita Applebum/Can I Kick It may be the hilight of the album, but the whole run is incredibly consistent and still feels fresh and creative even 35 years after the release.

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Nov 24 2025

Cheerful, old-school pop with nice harmonies. California Dreamin' is an absolute gem, one of my favourite songs of all-time. The other songs are pleasant but not that memorable. Overall, a nice listen.

Suicide by Suicide
Nov 26 2025

I have a complicated relationship with this album. It's an important landmark in punk history and a key influence for a lot of artists I love, but no matters how much I wanted to like it, the music was absolutely repulsive to me. It's my first re-listening of the album in almost a decade and it... kinda worked, I guess? It feels like a lo-fi horror journey through paranoia and fear. It's hypnotizing and sexy in a very bizarre, venomous way. My main problem comes from the structure, the songs seem stuck in a perpetual crescendo without payoff. It's interesting because it brings a feeling of claustrophobia but it's tedious when you repeat it for an entire album.

Here Are the Sonics by The Sonics
Nov 27 2025

Well, that was a wild ride. Intense and abrasive, even by today's standards.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Nov 28 2025
Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Nov 29 2025

Nice and soft, but also a bit boring.

Picture Book by Simply Red

Cheesy and unremarkable 80's soul musak.

Purple Rain by Prince

An amazing funky sexy album.
